my husband mother died when he was just three years old...now i live with him in the same house his parents left for him and i saw the spirit of his mother...it was not a good encounter, i was terrified.

Often People say they have talked with the dead. The late James A Pike, a prominent Episcoplian bishop, said he talked with his dead son Jim. According to Pike, his son told him: "I have masses of people around me, and hands lifting me up, as it were.....I was so unhappy untill I could make you know."
Since such experiences are so common, it is evident that many people have spoken to someone from the spirit world. But they have not talked with the dead, The Bible is very clear when it says:"As for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all."(Eclesiastes9:5) So if it is not the dead who are speaking from the spirit world, who are speaking? Who are pretending to be dead persons?
Wicked spirits are. These spirits or demons, are angels who joined Satan in rebellion against God. Why do they pretend to be persons who have died? It is to advance the idea that the dead are still living. Wicked spirits have also lead many to believe the lie that death is only a change to another life. To spread this lie, wicked spirits provide spirit mediums, fortune tellers and sorcerrs with special knowledge that only seems to come from persons who have died. So please keep away from those because they are used by wicked spirits and you will only get more heartache by listening to them, wicked spirits are wicked, and they only want you to miss seeing your dead loved ones again where as God promised he would bring back to life dead loved ones!So your husbands mother is unable to come to your house she is not conscious of anything at all it is no wonder that you were terrified of this encounter with the wicked spirit person I will pray to Jehovah for help for you, but it might be a good idea that you pray to Jehovah also (Romans10:13)!

The word "dead" used in the spititual sense is a misnomer. A word used, but gives false meaning. Spirits are NOT dead. They are very much alive!
But there many kinds of Lifeforms out there.
Some souls do not pass over right away. Being stuck here over something keeping them attached to this world. And the movies get their ideas from this reality.
They talk to people, and nobody sees them. And they are quite pissed off by the time they find someone who wants to communicate with them. Which is of course unhealthy for you.
Plus, there are elemental beings that are made of one energy like Fire, etc. Our spirit is made of all four elements. And opening up to an elemental will cause one spiritual sickness.
There are also what psychics call thoughtforms. Like a pressure cooker will let the top up and release a little steam. Our spirit can let go of a little spiritual energy when there is too much building up in our body, and the body might suffer.
These masses of energy float around out there. And if one absorbs an angry energy nearby, as the masses of energy are made of whatever emotion created them. It will make them fly into a rage, and then you have these bizzare types of murders, that are overkill.
So we always need to be on guard and protect ourselves from negative aspects of spiritual realities. Just use the Spoken Word. Speak "out loud", and ask our Highest Power for guidance and protection. Then you can experience the best of what spiritual experiences have to offer.

Imagine taking a trip, going to a town you have never been before. You get out of the car and walk to the end of the block. You turn the corner and come face to face with a total stranger, and they startle you. Are you terrified:
a) because you did not expect to meet the person
b) because the person is someone you do not know well enough to determine who/what they are
c) because the person is evil
What is true in one instance may not be true in another. A single encounter with anything teaches us very little, except how we reacted.

I think that's more to do with the mother-in-law factor than the spirit factor!
I live with a spirit, and I was certainly surprised the first few times I encountered him, but really, I'm not sure he could harm me even if he wanted to.
Perhaps if you see her again you'll be less surprised and it won't be so terrifying.

Some people see spirits as evil.
Some people believe in a God they have no proof for.
Some people dismiss other people's beliefs as delusion.
Each to their own, I suppose.
To me, spirits are not evil. Why would my ancestors want to harm me?
If I want to believe in something cruel, I can become a monotheist, with a jealous God, or an atheist with nothing but cruel nature to contend with.
I will remain peacefully happy with my truth.
You believe as you see fit. If fear is your answer, then that is your choice.

My grandfather died roughly ten years before I was born, and I used to see him a lot when I was little at my grandmother's house. It turns out, not only did I see him, my brother and several of my cousins saw him too. He even wore the same red flannel shirt, tan pants, and horn-rimmed glasses every time.

yes you can see spirits...... a spirit is a spirit... its neither good or evil.... how you perceive it will makes your experience good or bad.... a child looks at a snake for the first time.... some children will stand there in wonder.... some might get afraid..... good or bad is not in the spirit ..... but in our perception and hence experience.....

to your answer, it's a yes. Spirits can be seen by some people but they are not exactly like what you said, some spirits are not evil. maybe they are afriad of their next life and afraid of moving on. that's all.

Yes,you can,and it's more often if you tired,your heart beat low. You can see it was terrified because something happen just before she die. Sickness,very very sick,or else that bad that make you see something not too good to see.

we all have the posibility to see them, U did to but have no ideea. Flashes of light that pass very fast before you'r eyes. Evilness is just an ideea, there is no good or evil.
