Absolutely!
Cold sores are typically caused by herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV1), while genital herpes are typically caused by herpes simplex virus 2 (HSV2). Both HSV1 & HSV2 however can cause either/or cold sores and genital herpes.
Usually genital herpes caused by HSV1 is from oral sex. If a person has a cold sore and they give another person oral sex, it is possible for that person to develop genital herpes caused by HSV1.
I personally have genital herpes caused by HSV1, so it is definitely possible!

Yes, there isn't any. Herpes is caused by a virus. Actually, there is little cure for viruses nowadays. The only thing that you can generally do in the case of a viral infection is strengthen the immune system and hope it fights it off. Not with Herpes, the immune system can't win against it. Thus you only get to treat the symptoms. Once you're infected, it stays with you for life. So don't get infected.
Personal experience. I have had genital herpes for over 5 years.

I got diagnosed with herpes (type 2) about five years ago, when I was still attending college and had a silly one-night stand. I know loads of girls will say this, but I swear I had certainly not done that sort of thing before. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly it seemed like I was going to have to live with the consequences for my entire life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/VOqp2 everything got better.
Not only was I able to eliminate all traces of the herpes simplex virus from my body in less than three weeks, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just last week, in front of everybody in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This program gave me back the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to help you too by sharing this with the World.

Yes, absolutely possible.
Herpes is a HIGHLY contagious disease! Herpes Simplex 1 is prevalent in over 70% of the population. At the first onset of symptom (the tingling of the lip area), the carrier should not come in physical contact with anyone as the disease can be easily passed to another person.

My sister caught genital herpes this way. So yes, and there are 2 different forms of HSV 1 & 2, but they can both spread either place. Be careful.

YES... And there is no cure. My ex and I always used condoms and he was prone to cold sores. He performed oral sex on me while having an outbreak although it was not visible and now I have genital herpes. A disease for life. I have to be responsible for the rest of my life.

Because a cold sore is an INACTIVE form of the Herpes virus, Herpes cannot be spread from that form. If the person has Herpes and performs oral sex on you, yes you can get it.
