I went to Israel 2 years ago, and since then can't stop talking about their food. It's Delicious. In fact, if I had any choice at all I would have stayed there just to learn how to cook their food.
In my tour group I was the only one being toured through several Restaurant kitchens and have been shown by Chefs how to prepare a certain dish. In the meantime I bought Jewish cookbooks and go to sites on Jewish cooking. They have a great variety of vegetarian food.
Yes, I love it.

It's delicious! For excellent Jewish cuisine, go to Carnegie Deli or Katz's in NYC and get one of their famous huge sandwiches, packed with corned beef, pastrami, and other cured meats. Potato pancakes with red cabbage on the side is also Jewish in origin and a few of my favorites!

However, Jewish food varies from region to region; in Europe it can be a completely different style than the traditional dishes of say, Iranian or Ethiopian Jews (called the Beta-Israel)

Below, there's some links about Jewish cuisine for you to check out (the first website is EXCELLENT!)

I went to a jewish influenced restraunt once and I loved it - matza ball soup, great chicken, extra ... I am not jewish so I dont know specifics of it but I highly suggest that you try it - it isnt spicy or very odd from what I had. Nothing to be scared of!

I admit I am semi- naive too!

it's as good as any other kind of food. being 'kosher' doesn't mean it doesn't have any flavor. and the wine is excellent! of course it's all a matter of taste, but i used to have sabbath dinner with jewish friends, and go over to their house on numerous occasions, and i was always quite happy with the food.

Yes. Try a taste test with just salt. First taste kosher salt, then taste the every day salt you normally use. Your normal salt will taste like metal.
