I listened and heard it myself- it's heard just before the next beat is heard, but only a few times a minute. I've been told before that i had an irregular heart beat, and that dr. didn't seem to think it was that big of a deal. I'm very healthy otherwise, just turned 34 yrs old. What is the difference between murmur and irregularity? Should I be concerned? And are there any restrictions I should know of??

I actually have fairly low plood pressure. (Ususally around 100/60 ish)I don't think I'm anemic. No Hx of HD in my family. I know the first time i was told about the "irregularity" the doc commented that I had slightly low potassium. Nothing major, just eat a banana or orange a day.....hope this helps.

What was your BP at that time? Are you Hypertensive? Do you have family H/O cardiac disease? Did you take any cough medicine/syrup? Are you anemic?
These questions are mandatory as hemic murmur is present in anemics (physiological murmur).
Murmur: Any abnormal sound of the heart and irregularities are recordable on EKG.
So better see a cardiologist for a second opinion.

Honestly, I would go to a cardiologist for further testing...my Mom, who was told she has always had a murmur, just had to have heart valve replacement...
Your GP, like mine, is most likely VERY good, but NO ONE can advise you on heart related matters better than a cardiologist...I'm sure your Dr would gladly refer you...if not, then change GP's!!!!! For your peace of mind...get another opinion.
Any restrictions would depend on the severity of your condition and any other problems that may be causing the "echo" you hear....
