on my daughter's first birthday she ignored all of the food except the pumpernickel dip, so I heartily recommend that!

Pick-up foods. Pasta salad, finger sandwiches, a fruit tray, etc. You can keep all that stuff in the fridge over night.

My sister makes a good pasta salad. Use rotini pasta, chunks of tomato, cucumber, salami, and chucks of cheese. For the dressing use 1/2 Ranch and 1/2 Kraft House Italian.

That's probably right after her nap, so snacks are appropriate. Chips & dip are fine, but you might want to have a veggie/dip platter and a fruit platter too, which your daughter would also like. Those, with a cake or cupcakes would be perfect at that time of day ....

Cold meat sandwhiches. Just buy buns, a few different kinds of deli meat, cheese, lettuce, tomatoe, mayo, mustard, & have all the ingredients set out in their own seperate spot so guests can add what they like. You could also serve chips & fruit.

They usually have a few teeth at that age, so you might be ok with apple slices, mini hot dogs, cheese stix, cup cakes, etc.
