that depends on if you both have it or not. it is strongly suggested that women do not contract herpes while they are pregnant because it can carry some fatal complications for the baby. however, if you already have it, there is nothing wrong with having sex during an outbreak. the only thing that you might be concerned about is that you cannot deliver vaginally while you are having an outbreak.

See your wellness care provider as oftentimes as you are able to particularly in case you get pregnant. Any STD can harm an unborn infant yet in specific circumstances each thing seems ok in the tip. as a count of actuality i understand somebody who has Genital Herpes and had a infant. each thing replaced into completely commonly used. the newborn and the mother are doing large, and the dad is only too. So only as lengthy because of the fact the wellness care provider provides the ok then perhaps you're able to have a infant. Take meds, that are prescribed via the wellness care provider of direction, to handle the Genetal Herpes and on the comparable time would be ineffective to the newborn. reliable luck.

As long as the bag the fetus is in is intact your OK. Once that bag is ruptured then your talking about the virus getting to the baby.
As long as your not having an outbreak you can have a vaginal birth.
I know alot of women with Herpes doesn't want to share this info with anyone including their MD's, but if you are having an outbreak in the last couple months PLEASE mention it to your MD.
He can either give you something to rush the virus back into hiding or schedule a C-section.
BTW, Congrads on the new baby.... :)

well as a nurse and a woman who had contracted herpes from my husband while i was pregnant nothing can happen to your baby if you have intercourse..the good thing about this is your baby will have antibodies to protect itself from the virus but if you have an active infection at the time of delivery then yes your baby is in danger and doctors will check and if you are having an active infection the doctor will perform a c-section
