I wonder that all those who answered u think that it's healthy to drink while eating because this make u fill full and eat less.
that's true that drinking while eating makes u feel full but it's not healthy at all because when u drink while eating u r diluting the gasrtic juice with is a fluid in ur stomach containing enzymes responsible for food digestion.so diluting the gasrtic juice makes u suffer from problems in digestion not surely making belly but it's not healthy at all and ur body wont get any benifits from what u ate.
so if u want to drink the healthy way is to drink before eating by 30 minutes and this will decrease ur apetite.or if u want to drink after eating u must wait at least 45 minutes if u want to be healthy

NO NO NO- DONT EVER DRINK AND EAT at the same time(cool drinks or water) the cold drink will cause your digestive system to be in active when digesting soluble food and will cause long term damage. If you must have water-have warm water. OR drink 1 hour after you have eaten.

No, drink plenty of water! Water is good for you, afterall we are made up of 98% water!
If you are worried about it swelling your belly... well, it sound weird, but water is a natural diuretic so when you drink plenty of water your body won't retain as much, and that will help you loose your water weight.
Also, as far as gastric juices are concerned, according to the classes I have taken in my Zoology and Biology courses, that is nonsense. Again, gastric juices are part water also, and the digestive process is a long one so even if it did dilute it, it wouldn't matter.
And yeah, stay away from sodas. They have sodium in them, which will retain fluids and make you bloat.

Drinking a lot of water as you are eating , can dilute your stomach acids , and thus affect the ability of your body to break down and digest food.......it has been suggested , that drinks should be taken before a meal.....or after a meal.but not during !

No way ! It is actually very healthy to drink fluids while eating. The fluids help food digest better, make you feel fuller faster & rehydrates you. Don't know who's giving you advice but have them do some research on the digestive track.

Only if you've had several fresh stab wounds in the belly area. You don't want anything leaking out as you drink it.
The internet is a big place full of every sort of information. You should go to ask.com and put in your question there.

That's just stupid. The cavemen weren't washing down mastadon with Pepsi.
You might get some bloating from drinking excessive amounts; but same could be said of thanksgiving dinner.

Yes, belly, and swelly!
best is drink water 20 minutes before dinner, that way you won't even have to eat that much as your apetite disappears, unless you are a mad eater, then just have it all together and enjoy life!
