Installing solid wood floors can be a challenge, yes. Depending on the experience of the person installing, ease of installation will vary whether it's nailing/stapling/gluing/floating. Bear in mind that while nailing and stapling is cleaner (gluing can be messy), gluing down the floors is more stable and won't make your floors squeak in the long run. There are solid floors that can be floated as well but will need to be glued at the tongues and grooves---a little trickier than laminates still, but so far the easiest of all solid installations.
There are still a few laminates that will require glue, but most that are manufactured today don't need it and simply "clicks and locks" together. Some advantages of laminates over hardwood: it's cheaper, more hard wearing, easier to install, and in some cases, you can even un-click it and bring it with you if you want to install it somewhere else.
If you have the budget, hardwood is still the way to go though. With the advancements in laminate production, it can be a bit tricky to discern the real thing from a laminate by just looking at it. But what you can't see, your ears will hear and your feet will feel. Plus hardwood adds value to a home. :)

Solid wood will be a lot more work than laminate. The laminate pieces are much larger than solid wood, so there is less cutting to do, and no mechanical fasteners are required. Solid wood requires more cutting and the pieces are usually nailed down through the tongues. But, like every one has said, the solid wood looks much better and will last forever.

The choice between hardwood and laminate should depend on two things, 1) your budget, 2) where the floor is going.
Budget is obvious - hardwood is much more expensive, but gives a more elegant, rich look and is overall more valuable at resale.
But, if the floor is going somewhere inconspicuous and irrelevant, go with the laminate. My entire first floor is oak, but we just installed Pergo in the laundry room and basement landing. Anywhere that has a propensity to get wet is best off with laminate flooring.

The laminate floor will snap together and the real wood floor will have to be toe nailed. So the solid floor will be a little more diffucult to lay.

My husband fitted hard wood floors in our hallway and then later in our lounge. He says they are easier than laminate a that stuff tends to chip more. He knows cos he fitted laminate at my Mums house. Also if you can afford real wood it looks nicer and feels nicer too.

Hi
I have both and I HATE the laminate - it looks so cheap! and nasty!. The wooden floor looks beautiful and elegant.
As you are going to spend a long time with the floor, I dont think it should matter about the fitting, as it will be worth it in the end.

seems such as you're a technical chippie type. do not tie it to product, on account that technologies will replace. check out how neon is changing bulbs. for sure you probably did not bypass with Denton flooring. ;) floor does not look to rhyme. So the attributes of timber or ft or strolling. flooring isn't romantic, like a motor vehicle, so only asserting flooring. nope. something exciting, proper... How approximately chuffed ft flooring? Play up the English perspective.. Sherwood Floorist? Cheers, hiya? looks lovable to a yank , here. My spouse likes it. Hardwood Floorist? Hollywood Floorist? perhaps with a action picture topic.. flooring of the celebrities, that "money isn't any merchandise" type. what's your industry? Valentine Floorist. purchase a floor on your loved ones member... Sorry, i will sell a coffin to stay human beings, yet i might think of merchandising flooring is extra puzzling. reliable luck, Cheers! .

There were so many woodworking plans with this collection and you will not believe this but there are over thousands plans in the one package deal. Go here https://tr.im/GCaXc
This is really something to find that many all together. For someone like me who is just really starting to get involved with woodworking this was like letting me loose in a candy store and telling me I could have anything I wanted. That was my dream when I was a kid.

*the only difference is the quality of what you are using ,the over all effect and the amount of wear it will take and of course how to clean the floor. the method of laying the floor is pretty much the same. a real wooden floor ,would be much nicer, but dearer to buy and lay.
