i'm trying to lose the last few pounds, but it just refuses to come off. i even gained 0.02kg today. (seems obsessive, but yeah) i just can't seem to go anywhere below the freaking 71.5kg zone. i go to the gym everyday, loose about 500cals day, but they just refuse to go off!

i'm eating really little for the last 2 weeks. just dinner basically. must i eat all 3 meals if i wanna lose the last few pounds?

right now, i'm 71.7kg. yesterday i was 71.5kg. 2 weeks ago i was 75kg.

my goal by this sunday is actually 68kg, but my eventual goal is 65kg.

can anyone help? suggest what i should eat, when i should eat. must i lose more cals?

u can't lose weight that fast. it won't stay. i say lose 200 gramms every week. and no, u don't start eating to lose weight. u start exercising more and eating less. it seems u have reached the plateau. just add intensity for exercises

1) the best way to lose weight is to eat 6 small meals throughout the day. This keeps you metabolism working well to break down fat.

2) If the weight hasnt budged you may have lost fat and gained muscle. Muscle is denser that fat so if this is the case you will look a lot slimmer.

3) The best exercise you can do to look slim, is running, it not only gives the body an all over work out it probably uses up the most calories too.

4) I say get rid of the scales ( for a while anyway). Eat 4 -6 small meals a day. Instead of weighing yourself, measure yourself. Get a tape measure a see if you have lost weight by your size not weight. If your are the same weight but have gained muscle and lost fat in its place then you are likely to have gotten slimmer, and clothes come with measurement lables, not weight lables.

DOnt get obssesive about measureing or weighing, its best to do it at the end of every week to check your progress ( if You do). Its the same with measuring do it once a week.

Good luck

There are so many different answers i can give you for this question, i am not sure where to begin.
It depends on whether you want to lose weight fast or lose weight the healthier but slower way.
Firstly the healthier way. Yes you have to eat. But it depends on your calorie intake and your daily output. How much you eat and how much energy your body uses.Everything you do in a day takes up energy even sleeping. You say you go to the gym everyday and spend 500 cals. This is good, but if you want to lose weight you have to use up more calories than you put into your body daily. This is so your body takes its energy not only from the food you have eaten but your fat storages. Hence losing weight. If you decide to choose this option you can email me and i will send you a little table that shows you how much energy is spent by various tasks according to age and weight.

The other option is to lose weight fast.
Ever heard of the Atkins diet?It is a diet where you have little or no carbohydrates. It basically works the same way by using up fat storages.
You can lose weight quite fast on this one, drop a couple of dress sizes in 2 weeks. But it is very strict and dangerous.
You cannot stay on this diet for more than a month because of the strain on the body from having little carbs. And after you have to ease back into eatting the carbohydrates.
Basicly a drastic way to lose weight but it can be done quickly.

I can go on and on about this for ages but I don't want to bore you too much.

So yes, you should always eat food to stay healthy but not necessarily to lose weight.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

Your doing ok for the first thing. dont let the dissapoint you. I no what your meaning. I did the same thing one time and I did not even eat at all for 5 days thinking o well I will lose it fast. AHHHHHHHHH not. I lost nothing. What happens is your body goes into a stravation mode when you keep to much lack of food out. The veggies are great belive me. I lost like 28 pounds in two months that way. I mean I was shocked and kind of scared when I seen it happening. But you will see the resulst.

Keep doing what you're doing, you have hit what's known as a plateau. Don't give up. Your body is adjusting to weight loss by slowing its metabolism in order to prevent what it senses as starvation. Eating a few small meals is preferable to eating only one meal, for energy and raised metabolism. You will see the weight loss resume within two weeks or so.

You're doing well it takes some time to show. But scientists say that :
1- in the morning before everything drink 2 full glasses of water(very imp)
2- have your ordinary breakfast(neither too heavy nor too light)
3- have little lunch
4- have no dinner- instead have an apple or some fruit or vegetable like that.
plus your exercises,
I have tried this and it has worked great for me.

The mighty scale tricks us into thinking that losing weight is the same as losing fat. The truth is the lower your body fat percentage is, the less it matters how much you weigh. If you really are working out every day you are building serious muscle mass which is more dense than fat. My suggestion is have your body fat percentage measured at the gym and multiply it by your weight - then you will really see how much "weight" you need to lose.

With such a small amount of calories your body has put itself in fammine mode. then your body will hang on to every calorie and fat that passes through your body.
Eat three small meals a day. And 100 calorie healthy snacks. three a day. If you are doing that much exercise a day you might be building up muscles which weigh more.

500 calories i sn't going to work.

There shouldn't be any such thing as diets. Only life style changes that give us a life time of healthy eating. Your body eeds healthy fats and all sorts of food, especiallyl fruits and vegtables.
