Some people don't need as much sleep at others but if you wake up feeling tired then this may be pointing to an underlying problem.

One of the main causes of insomnia is stress.

Try relaxing before you go to bed. Turn off the TV or turn down the music. Try reading a good book or comic. Something funny is good as laughter releases stress.

Also try exercising in the mornings. It will make you more alert during the day and help you sleep at night. Just 20 mins if intense activity in the morning is enough. I used to cycle to school every morning.

Tylenol PM has sleep stuff as well as tylenol in it right? Don't take this all the time because it's not good for your liver. Try something like antihistemines like Bennedryl or even motion sickness medication helps (that's what I take when I can't sleep). Yes, sometimes it won't work if you are too riled up.

Why are you not able to get back to sleep? Are you still tired? If you're not tired, don't worry about it. Yea, it's not too healthy, but it's fun isn't it? Sleep is a complete waste of time some days. You can try other things before you go to bed like taking a hot shower or bath or drinking herbal teas. You can also try listening to audio books when trying to sleep. Harry Potter puts me to sleep so fast some nights. It's good because I'm busy listening to HP instead of thinking about my anxieties.

I attempted to plug my complete cellphone into the hole to cost it, I made my fiance overdue for paintings like five instances for the reason that I might flip the alarm off and now not don't forget I did it, I poured virtually a entire gallon of nursery water right into a playtex drop in bottle with out a liner in it, I did not notice I was once doing it till my ft had been rainy... and only some weeks in the past I sat down at the sofa to devour my cereal simplest to notice I placed tea in it as a substitute of milk, and my son was once sound asleep all night time through then so I do not know what my excuse was once for doing that!

Go for a jog two or three hours before bedtime.
Go to bed the same time every night
Set up a routien before betime.
If you have troubles, write them down on a piece of paper and tell yourself that you will worry about them tomorrow.

Then do some relaxing breathing. Learn to relax yourself

try melatonin or Valerian. both are natural and do help in sleep...sometimes. i'm not sure if i spelled them right, but you can go to a heath foods store and i'm sure they can help you. if neither of them work ,go to your doctor and see if they'll prescribe ambien. it really helps me. and i,ve been an insomniac most of my life.
