pasta is fattening if you eat too much. unless you workout often. carbohydrate contents in pasta would turn to fat if you don't use it as energy. so its okay to eat it once in a while. and don't forget to exercise. i only talked about the pasta's carb contents. pasta sauce contributes some fat into the pasta. what you cook it with and how much oil / meat you use will somehow increases fat content of the whole thing. try switching to vege. its a good choice and much healthier compared to pasta.

Eating pasta in itself is not fattening if you don't eat too much and exercise.
Eating lots of pasta every day and lying about on the sofa all day like a lazy sod will mean it is very fattening.
Marathon runners carbo-load on pasta before races because it prevents glycogen depletion in the muscles which causes a drop in performance.
Stick to just veggies if you're a bit overweight I'd say.

Pasta itself is not fattening (though if you have a wheat problem, it can look that way with bloating) but it is what you put on it.
Go ahead and eat pasta (Carbs are slow release and keep your blood sugar levels even thereby preventing overeating on sugary snacks when you have a fall in levels) Just go steady on the fat content of sauces - though olive oil is said to be good, as are fish oils, and also go steady with the sugar and salt content. You can create lovely comforting sauces flavoured with different herbs and vegetable combinations.

Sort of. It has a lot of empty carbs, which will metabolize into sugars, which metabolize into fat if you don't burn them off first. However, if you buy (or make) whole wheat or other whole grain pastas they aren't so bad because they're more fibrous carbs and you are more likely to be able to burn off the empty carbs during daily activities. I like the Barilla Plus line of pasta. It tastes the same and has about half the empty carbs. When making my own I use half semolina/durham flour and half whole wheat. You still can't eat it daily, but it's much better for you.

consistent with probability if it became the nighttime till now final, i'd consume it. relies upon on how chilly your refrigerator is and in case you lined it up. scent it, see how clean it smells. I even have eaten 2 day previous pasta and been ok. my cousin had 3 day previous pasta and became unwell. that's a threat. yet basically slightly nutrition poisoning helps you unfastened a pair of kilos, and then once you're properly lower back you could appreciate much extra pasta.

Whole grain pasta definitely is better. Also, what you put on it makes a difference. If you load it up with fatty sauce and chees, forget it. If you like a nice marinara with veggies or a light pesto, OK in moderation.

like most things including bread, crackers, potatoes, rice etc, it depends on what you eat it with, if your accompliment is very fatty then the answer is yes, but if you follow the low fat system of cooking then you will be OK i.e. no bacon, eggs and cream on the pasta, rather a tomato based sauce
