I mean if they don't want to believe have a ball in what ever it is you do.
but why are they so fixated with religion?
do you think deep down they believe and are just rebelling or simply have nothing better to do?
Their the ones asking 90% of the questions.

YURI: oh I see but bashing Christianity isn't aimed at us?

It's not that I don't want to hear their point of view, what I meant was why are they always asking sarcastic and down right insulting questions? If the questions were to gain others point of view I'm for that, but not hatefull questions...and that go's for religious PPL. too they should ask for info not to rip at PPL.
we all should have ( religious or not ) the right to to believe what we choose. thanks for the answers

Our questions also fall into a general category with all types of questions. Some of these people might be coming on to our questions there.
I do think a lot of them have an ax to grind. They might have been hurt at one time by people of faith, clergy, family, friends etc. Christians and other people of faith can be clumsy.

Because the death toll from religion/sectarian violence has surpassed 100 million and religious people continue to look the other way. How many more innocent lives must be lost? It's similar to the World War 2 Holocaust but on a much greater scale.

Because you don't have to be religious or spiritual to discuss religion and spirituality?

Also because we "nonreligious" people need to set the record straight from time to time.

I'm here to use my brain, I don't know about anyone else, but that's my main reason, that and making other people use their brains. I'm here to laugh at the rote answers to certain questions, and to shake my head in bewilderment at the "christians" who try to pass judgement on other people. It's a strange world in here, and fun to watch.

have you never heard of a scholar of religion (for, comparitive religion is an area that you can study academically, at university) whi isn't religious? or, a philosopher of religion?

i am both. i studied philosophy and compartive religion at university. where the hell else am i going to answer questions if not in my chosen field?

and, what would this place become if only religious people (read: christians, due to your narrow mind) answered and asked questions? a big christian love in, thats what. urrgh, lets not have that happen.

as for 'christian-bashing' well, surely your religion should be able to stand up for itself and defend itself without referring solely to internal textual sources and without assuming that one believes before one needs to be convinced.

vale to you

most questions seem to be about them, so how will you get answers without both sides of the story. Plus religion and spirituality are seperate words for a reason.

Satan works in many ways to deharmonize mankind--as if we can't do that amongst ourselves....He's using those non-religious participants to cast further doubts in the minds of those who may or may not believe. They are fixated with finding the truth or essence of life, and once they find it, they run away from it.

if they are the ones asking 90% of the questions can you imagine how boring it would be without them? Thank God they are here as well!
