How do I get over lasting damage to head from boyfriend?

On the night before I started University my boyfriend punched me repeatedly on the head. He had fallen asleep at a party, after drinking far too much, and I woke him up - he went into a rage imagining all the guys I would go with at college (so weird as I was really in love with him at the time, and not looking at all at anyone else). He went into a violent haze where he punched me again and again.
I felt all the emotions everyone else does - and totally freaked out by starting a college degree with a black eye. But it was more than a black eye - I had serious concussion but I didn't know it. My father just said "you can be very difficult". At college, the tutor said "it must mean your boyfriend really loves you". Just what I wanted to hear at the time - but so utterly utterly wrong! And such a bad thing to say to a woman who has just been attacked!!!
Two weeks later, I got zigzag vision, migraine. It comes every six months, and I'm scared I may have something serious wrong.

I come from England. Yes, it has made me feel very upset about my father's reaction.

See a doctor. Also see a counselor. You were beaten, which is a crime. Your boyfriend is a dangerous abuser. You should talk to someone at a domestic violence hotline, and make sure that you never go back to this guy. It will only escalate and get worse. Get out now while you can. I'm concerned that this apparently happened two years ago, and you didn't say you broke up with him. Your dad and your tutor are both jerks, btw, no one deserves to get beaten.

his answer.....Dump your Bf and never allow him to contact you again .Your dad does`t sound like much support either. the best thing you can do now is take things easy and get
lots of rest ,peace and quiet . Its sounds to me you have a concussion. it will heal in time. I had one when I played football in college no medical treatment .if it persists after
2 months seek medical advice.. Sue the SOB if you need medical treatment...being a girl it may take more time to heal
on its own . look up concussion treatment in web md mine lasted probally 6 months before all the symptoms disappeared

See a dr. and get rid of the boyfriend. Unless he goes to counseling to work on his issues of not trusting you. Love has nothing to do with why he hit you.

Are you still having headaches?? Go to a Dr and explain what happened...sounds like something is seriously wrong!

it seems everyone around you handled what happened to you very badly. but you seem to have come through this very well adjusted-well done to you. As far as the migraine, could be coincidence, i developed them in my early 20's and suffered periodically for about 10 years, then they disappeared as easily as they came, but because you suffered head trauma i would get it checked out. They do sound very sporadic to be a continuous serious problem though. But congratulations for you, for coming through this on your own and continuing your studies, he didn't deserve you, and you certainly didn't deserve him. Good luck to you for your future

He is probably just stressed out, because you said something about he got a thired job. hes probably stresed. He probably does want to be with u, but probably doesnt have the time because of work. I would give him a little time to think threw stuff and to get ur mind back on track.
