During the winter, I was working outside in the cold at night and I went into a booth at a parking lot with a space heater to get some sleep. When I woke up, my body felt stiff. I went home and fell asleep. When I got up to go back to work, I couldn't move. I was so scared because it felt like I was paralized. My neck wouldn't turn, my arms were so sore, and my thighs were very painful. I eventually was able to get up from my bed with the help of my friend who I called. I was really scared something happened to me. I couldn't afford a doctor's visit so I tried to ride it out. After about a week, I felt the same. Everyday i would take a hot bath and just wrap myself in a few blankets to stay as warm as I can be.

Eventually it passes. it took almost two weeks to not feel any pain or stiffness. Has this happened to you before? If so, what did you do?

You are doing the right thing by taking hot bathes and wrapping yourself In blankets. cold is very hard on the body it causes the muscles to constrict, that's why older people react very strongly to cold because their muscles are not as resilient.

use anti inflammatory medicine such as Advil until this passes. Continue doing the hot bath treatment.

I stretch it out slowly, take motrin which acts as a pain reliever and an anti imflamatory. I also get a lot of rest, sleep is the best way a body repairs itself!
