My goodness! I guess I'm wondering why you needed to chug those 40's as opposed to simply enjoying the taste etc. Which leads me to believe that perhaps there was a reason for your recent venture into insanity, ey? Aside from a cruel hangover the next day, you might want to consider the lethal effects of alcohol toxicity. That aside, here are some helpful pointers:
1. Drink lots and lots of water (alcohol will dehydrate you!)
2. Take aspirin
3. Put something on that bread you're eating, like peanut butter (fat and protein) or make yourself some real food so that you'll have something in your stomach if you puke. Plus, it will make you feel a little better.
4. Go to bed and get a good sleep. Water and sleep are your only real helpmates at this stage.
And, when you're sober and reviewing your choices of entertainment, see if you can find something that won't result in death, the torment of alcoholism, shame and such!

The person who said the only way to sober up is time, was right! I saw someone voted it as a bad answer, but it is true! I took a class at work , I'm a waitress, and we serve alcohol so we have to take this class or we can't serve it. You will have to wait, food, drinks and other things will now sober you up these are things that people say will but it's not true, the alcohol doesn't just go through your digestive system, as soon as you drink it, it goes through your blood stream and stays in your body. Depending on how much you weigh and how often you drink will be how long you will be drunk!

The only thing that will sober you up is time. If you are old enough to drink, you should know better to chug 3 - 40's Old English on an empty stomach. Are you tired of being drunk this time or all of the time? If you are having problems with alcohol, may I recommend that you seriously look into a 12 step program like Alcoholics Anonymous, it works if you work it. Sounds like you might be sick and tired of being sick and tired. AA is available in every country in the world.

Wow won't give you the AA lecture, but they're right. Time is the only thing that will sober you. Food will slow your alcohol absorbsion, but you will eventually absorb it. It doesn't make the alcohol go away. I'd recomment a nap. Your body can metabolize (on average), one drink per hour. That's about 12 ounces of beer. So you've got 10 hours from the time you started drinking till your BAC is 0.0% my friend.

Really nothing, eating bread just makes you feel drunk. The only thing to do is wait for your body to metabolize the alcohol. Just enjoye it. Olde E's 800 now thats my brand

eating bread, drinking water, etc only serve to lessen the drunk effects. The only thing that can truly sober you up is TIME. You are gonna have to ride it out.
And just because you rarely drink doesn't mean you don't have a problem. You pounded 3 40s because you're pissed..........ummm.....sounds like a problem to me.
