I'm a Christian, and I believe that Jesus died for everyone, not just those of us who are Christians. I know that a lot of Christians do believe that people who aren't Christian will go to hell, but this is one Christian who doesn't believe that--and there are others of us. So please, don't use gross generalizations in your questions and answers regarding Christians. I don't fit the category.

To Magi--I would never presume to tell anyone who claims to be a Christian that he or she isn't, and I don't like being told I'm not one just because our interpretation of Christianity differs. Your response is nothing but a judgment on your part--that I am not a Christian. Why don't you ask Christ about my beliefs? You might get a different attitude.

Remember this line in the Bible? ''Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34

Dear honest funny Charlie,

To be a Christian means to follow Christ.

Therefore, we can't define Christianity based on our personal beliefs but based upon what Christ taught. Christ's teachings are found in the Bible and the Bible teaches that the only way to receive eternal life is to have a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ.

i wish everyone is going to heaven, but that's just not reality, but not everyone has to go to hell and that's why people need to hear the truth about Jesus--- even if it is found to be offensive to some- we can't change the message- we need to be watchful as to how we share that message, but the message should never change just to make someone feel comfortable... at the very end - hell is not a comfortable place- and thus you need to tell people the truth to keep them out of there...

Why would Christ give a commandment to share about Him with everyone-- if everyone was already going to be saved? And as you read the Bible-- why does Christ say that he is a "stumbling block" for non-believers. It's not a politically correct thing to say- but it is Biblically correct.

I believe that those who don't believe in Christ will go to hell because that's what Jesus teaches. However, Jesus does also teach that He doesn't want anyone to go to hell and so this is why Christians are to show God's love and both word and more importantly action. By loving others with the same kind of love that Jesus did.

i hope that you will examine your beliefs in light of what the Bible teaches and i challenge you to confirm your beliefs by studying the Bible together in a small group Bible study. You can't read the Bible in its proper context and not come to the conclusion that Jesus taught that he is the only way to heaven.

Jesus himself said: He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him.

Remember it's not about you. It's about Christ-- that's what it means to be a Christian.

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

It's not so much, "who's Christian", as it is, "Who is obeying God and his instructions for pleasing Him?" (Eccl. 12:13; Deu.6:5; John 5:3). His Holy Word clearly says that it is the righteous (those STRIVING to do right) that inherit everlasting life. Those who CHOOSE not to listen and take advantage of God's loving provisions through his son, the Christ, will be cleared from the earth, "cut off", as dead wood from a healthy tree ( Ps. 37:11). They recieve their reward of " the deep sleep", nothing more ( Eccl. 9:5,10; 3:19; Ezek. 18:4).

Because they don't want to share what they have not earned. They want salvation, without the complication of loving their neighbour. Their hypocrisy will be judged for what it is.

Let's not forget that Jesus is the Saviour of non-believers.
Otherwise, why would we call upon unbelievers to believe that Jesus is their Saviour?

And not only you are not alone, but I tell you that the word HELL is rightly disappearing from modern and more accurate Bible translations, because it should have never been there in the first place.

Jesus Christ said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
Jesus did die on the cross for everybody sins, but you have to have faith and belief in Him.

I seem to remember at one point in the new testament Jesus makes a comment about pagans going to heaven too. But honestly, I'd prefer not to. Your heaven is the last place I want to be considering some of the folks that claim to be going there...

Jesus did die for everyone. It is just that you have to accept His shedding of His blood as a covering for your sins.

Don't accept that, you gonna burn. It is just that simple.

Jesus said, I am the Way the Truth and the Life, no man comes to the Father but by Me.

Then you aren't a Christian.
The most basic concept behind Christianity is that humans are condemned to Hell unless they accept God's gift of salvation through Christ. From what you've said, you aren't a Christian.

The book they believe is the word of God says pretty much just that. So no matter how insane an idea it is, or who God would have to be or fail to be to do such blind harm, they feel they cannot question it.

Then you don't fully know and believe the word of God, only the bits that you want to!
You do the math, Jehovah witnesses don't believe in Hell either and they are a cult!
Rule of thumb -- people, Church, groups etc who do not live and preach the Word of God aren't His.
