If you have been taking Vicodin as prescribed and only for a short time...say 2 weeks...the odds that you are addicted are low, very low. It is possible that the reaction you describe are pain and related.

Why were you prescribed the Vicodin originally? Vicodin is a narcotic and can therefore be addictive if taken over long periods of time. It should only be used as needed and only taken as scheduled doses if deemed necessary by your health care professional. The symptoms you experienced were withdrawl symptoms. You may want to talk to your doctor or nurse about other pain managment options.

You could have just taken it when you realized you missed your dose. If you take it every 4 hours you would just count 4 hours until your next dose. I've been on pain meds for years so I know. You shouldn't really feel headache and sweaty just from missing one dose. Maybe if you missed l or 2 days you would start feeling weird so I'm thinking you might have something else going on i.e. flu
