Thanks guys for the answers. The reason i asked because i was asked to write about a legislation which is known as the "DREAM ACT" for my political science class. This piece of legislation focused on a group of children which were brought here at a very young age. The argument for the legislation was that the children were not criminals because they have no say in the decision that their parents made for them. Now that they've graduated high school and ready to go to college, they are denied for their status. This is good and well, what does it has to do with not deporting them. first, its really impossible to track 12 million illegal immigrant and deport all of them back to their country. Even if we could think about the money we will spend on doing it. secondly, we've already spend tons of money on education these kids from 1st to 12th grade, why not make them pay us back by given them a piece of paper and make them tax payers. one stone 2 birds, lose some principle.

They are not deported because they are American citizens, but presumably their parents who are deported would take them with them. I think they should be unified with their families in their country of origin.
Their parents always take this risk when they come here illegally. They gamble with the lives of their families that they will be deported and yet they do it anyways and on purpose. It is a well known fact that illegal immigrants come here to have children in an attempt to force this country's hand into allowing them to stay and to gain access to American citizen subsidies through welfare. If they ever were to be deported, they should be thanking us for all the years of (relative) wealth they've accumulated on their way out. Perhaps saving money for that possibility would be wise. Imagine the lives they could make for themselves in Mexico with the wealth they've accumulated by working illegally here.
Unwisely, the United States chose to allow the children of foreigners to be citizens simply by being born here (a "too little, too late" attempt at making concessions over slavery). There are two things we could do moving forward to equitably resolve this problem: The children of illegals could return to the United States when they are old enough or stay with legal citizens or people with legal status or revoke their citizenship since their parents were never legal citizens. It is an equitable solution because American citizens should not be compelled to pay for the children of foreigners without end. The state of California alone loses $10 billion a year because of this. Citizens have been moving away every year since 1991 and yet the population keeps growing, an unfair burden on the citizens who remain -- with their children.
Either way, the foreign families would stay united or choose not to be.

Why should our children be punished by overcrowded and failing schools? Programs have been canceled across the board for our own children to fund more and more programs for the ESL demographic when a huge portion of that demographic wouldn't be here if their parents hadn't come illegally.
OUR children deserve the quality education WE pay for. Poor people can't pay their way in education and other services. This is why every country in the world limits how many poor can come. Those who come illegally are saying that their children's education is more important than that of OUR children, when WE are the ones footing the bill.
Also, in my opinion jobs are NOT the biggest thing that draws those with families here. It is education. And as long as Mexico does not give free universal education through high school to its poor, it is far too huge a magnet to give it to the children of those who come here illegally.

They should be deported along with their parents. This is not splitting up families as they can go all together. If the children were born here, the parents can have the choice of taking them with them or leaving them here with other friends or family members - their choice. If the parents opt to take their US born children with them in deportation, the children could choose to return when they are adults. That is the only thing fair to the legal citizens of the USA and to the parents and children.

Absolutely! They all need to go back to where they came from. It's not the childrens fault, but they will learn the same bad habits as their parents have. They will grow up learning to lie, steal, cheat and mooch off the government. There is no place for them here.
Until every abled person in America is employeed and can feed their families and has health care, there is NO PLACE for illegals in this great country.
GOD BLESS AMERICA

yes they should be deported, how could a parent make their children lawbreaking criminals like themselves and expect anything else. you'd think the parents would teach their children to stand up for themselves, instead of how to run when times are rough, illegals need to get some morals!!!

Neither the children nor the adults should be deported. the whole immigration issue is all racist. Thats the ONLY reason people don't want people to come here. Its not because the people who immigrate here are "criminals"-- its the second generation that cause problems, the ones that have started to assimilate into American culture. Then again, if your DEPORTING their parents, what are the kids going to do with no one to watch them. Think about it ... the world is run economically. there is no economic reason for the large companies to want to get rid of illegal immigrants, they make loads of money exploiting illegal immigrants, making them work for wages that no American will work for -- there is no reason besides racism. And where is all this money coming from to build this wall thats supposed to keep Mexicans in Mexico? How well do you think this wall they are thinking about building is going to work? Are we going to take money away from protection of our troops in Iraq to build a wall that is going to be completely useless? If your so concerned about illegal immigrants why don't you go try to fix things in Mexico so they wont need to come here. Or are you so greedy that you'll sit there and complain about these people coming into the US, and never even stop to wonder why they are coming here in the first place?
