tips for taking day trips about 2 hrs away.?

i play for a traveling basketball team and have 3 younger sibs- sis11, brothers-4,7. we often live in the gym and/or car all day. all tips welcome thank

Here is what i did, because i was into sports and my mom would come and get me at the afterschool meets or i could use this for weekend meets.

first you all need a cheap large professional type sports bag
pack some clothing that can stay in the bag if not used
extra shoes
sock
t and short/pants
warm up outfit is good in case you get cold or the weather changes.
ipod-- or stuff like that
books to read
homework
flash light
umbrella and chairs to sit under and watch the tournament.
towel
blanket
food to snack- l like granola bars and dried fruits.
travel games are great.-chess puzzles
sleeping bag--i used this when i had to wait for my sister.
water in the car to drink.
a box of kitchen garbage bags to put the dirty clothes that need to be washed and returned to the bags.


using the sports bag helps everyone have a choice on what they want to use while they watch or wait. and limits the space of stuff.
