Stone, I do pray right away.I have a desire to see God move in a great and mighty way.So I stand in the gap,so I will never miss a thing.I am just greedy that way.
God has waken me in the midnight hour to pray for people.People, I have no clue what they are in to.But praise God ,Jesus knows.
The Holy Ghost has quicken to me about the attacks of Satan on the children of God.We need to bind together and believe for one another. That God is making a way where there seams to be no way.Our God is a way maker. We can shout as we walk thur the trial, knowing we are the redeemed of the Lord.PRAY 4, 1 ANOTHER ALWAYS.<><

Its funny that you bring this issue to light right now. I was just thinking the other day how often I forget then I feel bad 'cause I told someone I would then I didn't and when I face them again I'm glad they don't ask me if I did. I would have to tell them I forgot. How awful that would be. It's awful enough the muddy feeling I get when I say I'll pray then don't but when I see them again I feel the need to cram to avoid the inevitable slug in the gut (figuratively speaking). However, cramming doesn't prevent the slug. I end up feeling worse for being like that. So, now I no longer say I'll pray, I just do it.
It amazes me how badly a person can feel about this situation even if the peson you told doesn't know you forgot them God does and that's the worst of it. And He doesn't make it any easier to deal with. So, yeah I just pray right then now.

Hello Again:
I have been intercessory prayer over 10 years and as soon as I get a prayer request I hang up the phone stop what I am doing and pray right then and there. The Bible says let you yes be yes and your no be no. Even when I get prayer request off the computer e-amail yahoo answers etc I stop and pray.
I also am getting a new prayer book at the christian books store the composition note book I was using was not effective as the pages would always fall out. I write all the prayer requests in the book and pray over them as the Spirit of God leads in addition I was given a beautiful prayer box my my goddaughter you put the prayers in the box and you leave them there for God to answer. I do go through the box to take out the answered prayers to make room for new requests.
I just prayed for you and Steadfast and I are also keeping you in our prayers seek the Lord and serve Him and live for Him and just take one day at a time.
Peace be with you e4G

When someone needs prayer I do try to pray for them at that very moment- and doing that helps me remember to pray for them later. I had an experience just about a year ago that reminded me of this so much. I had been there for a friend time and time again, praying for her on the spot etc, and I needed her once in all those yrs, to pray for me, and she told me she would not pray for me now, but later. She felt God was not leading her to pray. The only reason I am telling you all this story is to say that God calls all of us to pray for our brothers and sisters. Great question- and great testimony

When I say I'll pray for someone, I do it right away, and then as often after that as I remember to. I'm usually pretty good about remembering. Prayer has become a VERY important part of my life. I try to literally pray without ceasing.

I usually pray on the spot, but then I forget to add it later unless I write it down. I have a list of things to pray for bc there are sooo many things, I can't remember them all at the same time.

Amen! I started doing the same thing. It shows people they are important enough for me to stop and pray for them immediately. It also gives them an idea of my faith in prayer and how important it is to pray. It also provides a great witness wherever it happens to occur. Now I praise God for the opportunity to pray, instead of bothering Him with my poor recall.
God Bless

I always say a prayer immediately then add the request to my prayer list for future reference. My memory doesn't work very well so I have to write down what is really important. And praying for others needs is very important.

When I say I am/have/will pray for you then that is what it is.
If I then say I will keep you in my prayers, then unless I have specifically noted that person, because I have so much to pray about and for, I ask God a general, yet powerful prayer for alot of situations, unless he brings some-one inpaticular to mind.
I also have a no. of prayer folders on this computer (mine) & like you keep a pen and paper with me.
God knows and sees all we do!! eek!
Please pray for Troy and Samanther, Sam has breast cancer.

I pray for the person first and then reply to the person to let them know that I've already prayed for them.
Sadly, it is very easy to forget to pray for someone later on...so I've made it my habit to pray right there. Later, when I am praying myself and remember, I pray once again.
