Many ask why does God allow bad things to happen,
the bible makes it clear their are two wills, the will of God and the will of man, the Will of Man chose what it chose, God allows Mans will to happen because he gave man freewill the decsion of one will affect many, Now god may allow a trial to come to you because he wants you to mature and learn and about trials of sin you do bad bad will come to you, the bible also says because the increase of wikidness many hearts shall go cold, we now days have so much trouble trusting anyone. and we close our hearts., now the will of man it was the will of the warlords that made africa what it is. it is the will of man that has many others suffer, the ones who have died in the iraq warm that is because of the will

The Bible can be esoteric at times, and the symbolism can be hard to comprehend by yourself. Asking questions is a way to think things through.

First of all: Amen!

The Bible is a big, big book. Bigger than the Lord of the Rings, or Harry Potter. To understand what it means for them, and for those around them it takes some time to read this sacred book. I have heard that some take more than a year to read it. Hence why some others decide to take the easy way: ask someone who knows.

Some are reading the Bible and ask, as a student would ask a teacher, about the writings they don't understand.

More importantly, it's all good. Spread the word of God, of His will, of His kindness, of His love for us, and it's all good. It has reached the ears and hearts that have not known it before. Even as they don't have the time or don't care to look it up in the Bible.

Why bother asking questions...God...answer...bible...*sigh* Is there a question here or are you just lecturing us?

Look, I don't know. Your Bible is full of weird things. I've read it a few times, I don't really like it. There are some good parts, mostly the ones with that Jesus fella, he seems alright. There's people killing people, and God killing people, and there's a...what, a goat-man who...I dunno, tricks...people? Or something? It's kind of hard to understand, it was written a long time ago.

Seriously, not everyone thinks The Bible is literally true. You do, that's obvious, but a lot of us don't.

That's the best answer I can give, you don't really seem to want to hear what anyone else says anyway.

Bad things happen to good people too... read your bible.

Habakkuk 1:4
Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.

Habakkuk 1:13
Wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?

Hebrews 12:6
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

US soldiers are dying in Iraq because of we have a religious fundie moron for president.

Oh, and you want us to believe the "answers" found in the bible like the earth being flat and the sun revolving around it? Should we condone slavery? Shall we stone our kids for talking back... is that the kind of justice you seek? Are those your truths?

Why bother asking questions when you don't care to find the answers in the bible?

Because the bible is just a book. Not everybody axiomatically takes it as God's word like you.

It would be quite profitable for you to open up more dictionaries and put your 10 pound bible down for a second sweetheart.
Learn how to spell before you feign the preparedness to explain to others why the bible is true. At least then your spelling would be credible, and that would be a start.

You can have an answer without using quotations. You just asked a question without using one. Although, saying that, the question doesn't really make sense, but anyways...
Yes, most problems on earth today are created by man. What is your point? It doesn't prove there is or is not a God.

I agree in substance with you, Hiu:

The Bible says: "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man; It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes [governors]" (Psalms 118:8, 9).

God and His Word should be our first line of defense; however, it is easy to allow our culture or belief system to influence our interpretation of Scripture. Therefore, there is wisdom in a multitude of council BUT check out their views, too, and to quote Jesus, "choose the better part."

There is a Bible code that has stumped theologians for centuries--it was closed "until the end of the days." Read it's special message at www.revelado.org/revealed.htm

I agree. Too many people on here just spout personal opinion, depsite claiming to be Christian. Jesus didn't give his own opinion, he said what God felt. He even said this directly at John 8:28: "Therefore Jesus said: 'When once you have lifted up the Son of man, then you will know that I am [he], and that I do nothing of my own initiative; but just as the Father taught me I speak these things.'"

Answer about God can be known from within. Bible and such scriptures give hint but cannot take one to God. He is always known when inner journey starts.
