I don't think saying such a word to a class is anything professional at all, I mean it was not creative, informative or inspiring to anyone so, presumably, the word was null and void and have a pity for the teacher who might have trouble in the mind. I think you should inform the matter to the office anonymously since a school/college of high standard/quality should not have such teachers who sadly liked to utter such foul words once in a while, it does not make sense regarding the process of education at all.

this is not expert or encouraging for a instructor to call every person stupid. although, you will have only imagined that she become staring at you. i'd propose which you do no longer "snap" yet merely pass to her after classification and tell her which you which you're offended along with her decision of words and don't sense that call calling is a physically powerful motivator for her scholars. in case you get no effects with this then talk on your vital. Telling your former pal to close up is the two undesirable habit. in case you do unlike his comments then merely ignore approximately him. The greater interest you supply to his comments, the greater encouragement he will ought to make greater. He makes those comments because of the fact he's getting a reaction out of you. in case you are able to shop quiet long sufficient he won't have any reason to taunt you back.

You can ask to remain anonymous or even write it. If the teacher is having personal problems or just a bad day, it is their job to ask for time off if they feel they can't conduct them self properly. I know teaching can be a very hard job especially when having to deal with so many kids all day, it takes a lot and everyone wants to feel appreciated and that their work is worth something. Maybe the teacher feels bad about it and you could wait and see if he or she has another outburst before going to the higher ups. It's your decision but always remember that you have the right to stand up for your self. Best wishes.

I had teachers practically say that to the whole class. It depends, is the teacher normally mean to the class or no? It was not a very nice thing to say at all, but maybe she/he was having a bad day and took it out of line?

A teacher at my teenagers school said the same thing to my son in front of the whole class.
He told me about it and I sent an email to the headmaster.
She was talked to and rang me up to say she never said such a thing.
My son has never lied to me ever and I believe him. He was so upset when he got home the day it happened.
My advice is DON'T sit back and let any teacher degrade any student, especially your own (in your case you) - after all they are there to teach and guide the kids - not disrespect them and name call them.
One day they'll do it once to often and loose their job - Talk to a more senior staff member.

Depends if they make it a habit. If so, I would first approach politely but assertively face to face and explain that it's not conducive to a good learning environment. Then take it from there-as far as necessary. The class is paying tuition/taxes (including teacher's salary), not to be insulted but to learn.

I tell my children: only stupid people call other people stupid! I think next time I would politely tell the teacher they are out of line and ask for an apology.

Don't take that kind of bullcrap from a teacher. Tell the teacher that your class is not as dumb as he or she thinks and then later report it to the school principal.

If it truly bothered you, you are well within your rights to inform someone above the teacher of what happened.
There is no reason for you to have to keep it to yourself if you can't get it out of your head.

Are you in Special Ed?
If you are, I would report it to the office.
If you aren't, your teacher was just telling you, in case you didn't know.
