A lot of companies now make variants of the M4. Only the Semi-auto is legal in the U.S. for civilians. Full auto is for the military and is exported to the rest of the world.

try logging on to ar15.com

Hope this helps bud

I have a couple of M4 commando's in full auto NICE!

There are a number of companies making copies of the M4 Commando. I am sure you have a semi auto weapon. If it was fully automatic, the ATF would have dragged you off for your ten year prison sentence by now.

I am not familiar with any company called PWA. But various AR-15 style rifles and carbines like yours go for anywhere from $800 to $1500 dollars.

Unless you are in the PRK (Kalifornia people's republik) there's no ban, so this pre/post stuff is mostly nonsense now. There's no reason to ascribe an old weapon higher value than a new one. In CA where the pre-ban is more desireable they can't be sold or transferred in-state so they have no value at all.

So it's just an M4 style AR-15. For what it's worth the barrel profile is very far from optimal, you'd be much better off with a modern Rock River Arms, Stag or CMMG rifle with a plain profile barrel. Not that most shooters will ever notice the difference.

PWA's are pretty good AR style rifles. I don't know off the top of my head the manufacturing year that corresponds to that serial number, you can call PWA and they will tell you, or ask the local authorities to check it out. That will help determine the value of the gun. If it is a post ban lower then you can expect around $700 if it is well taken care of, If it is in pre-ban configuration then you could get closer to $1000.

A number of companies are making a semi auto version of the M4 carbine. Bushmaster's version usually falls in the $800-$1000 range.

Pretty nice semi at that.......
