God's power is revealed in birth, the sunrise, the beauty in nature that surrounds us. So many ways He shows His power. There is a scripture that says an evil nation seeks after a sign. "Ask and you will receive, Knock and it will be opened unto you". It is human nature to want to flaunt and be pompous, that is not God's way. That is what caused all this sin in the first place because Lucifer was the most beautiful angel in heaven and wanted to be like a god. He wanted to praise himself rather than to show honor to his creator. It was all down hill from there. Mmm

People will not believe even if Jesus were to flaunt his powers.
He did flaunt his powers and he was crucified just like anyone else in this world who would claim to be God. People perform miraculous things all the time and the first thing that happens is a peanut gallery, out of nowhere, claims that what has happened is some sort of fraud or scam. Jesus walked on water and now they say it is because a sheet of ice formed under his feet. The point is that it doesn't matter (miracles) what matters is faith.

If you were religious wouldn't that statement be considered blasphemy?? Like isn't that what the Devil asked Jesus at a critical moment in his life?
I am really not religious so much as spiritual. But I bet that probably has been a question placed in more than one mind thru thousands of years just so people would question their faith... Hmm?? Naughty

The Bible tells of times when Jesus used his powers. Chaning water into wine, He rose from the dead, he calmed the storm, He fed millions with just a loaf of bread and some fish and many more. If people would read the word of God then they would know of all he has done. I

What? Jesus healed the blind, made the leper clean, made crippled people walk, fed thousands with one fish and one loaf of bread, raised Lazarus from the dead...and people still screamed out to have him crucified.
The fault did not lie in Jesus not proving He was the son of God, but in the hearts of those who refused to believe in what they witnessed.

Not really, power inspires greatness, greatness from power inspires greed, greed inspires hate, so Jesus acquired greatness in the humile way and for that is remembered as a great man.

Proof does not lead to faith in Jesus. Just like the pharisees clearly saw Jesus's miracles, they did not belive in him because they were power mongers and resourted to crucifying Jesus. Clear example of un-usefulness of power to proof.

Also, why pick "miracles" that have been done by charlatans for centuries before he was supposedly born. No wonder the pharisees thought he was having them on.

Faith involves the mind yes, but also the heart. In other words, those who are "proud at heart" will allways be far away from God.
