why are there so many non believers in the Religion & Spirituality section maybe we could petition Yahoo to start a section just for you guys or maybe use philosophy. You know just to be fair. By the way I sent everything through spell check in Word so if it's wrong blame Microsoft word not me.

not saying you don't have the right to be here I think its great it just seems to be alot of arguing between believers and non believers. I have been on both sides of the fence I have seen both pictures. have you?

grabs the atheist guy's drink and *drinks*
thats because some atheist are interested in religion & spirituality. Like if you were intrested in mytholgy you would go to the mythology section and look up questions. That would'nt necessarily mean your a myth hoo haa but you get the point. Although in my experience there seems to be a select few who love to troll....

Yes I have been on both sides of the fence. There are a lot of people who are interested in why a person does not believe. Personally I hope that something I say will cause at least one person to actually think for themselves. I believe this world would be much better off without religion.

Theists should not be in this section simply because atheism is not a religion. It is a Philosophy so they should be there. They cannot be into spirituality because they are not spiritual people. Spirituality and religion go hand in hand. You cannot have one without the other.
We need both in our journey to the kingdom of God. Atheists do not believe in heaven or hell so atheists can neither be spiritual or religious.
Imagine the cross of Jesus. Spirituality is the vertical beam that reaches out to God in prayer and worship. Religion is the cross beam, your love for neighbour which is an expression of your spirituality. It is also your belief system, which you share with your brothers and sisters as you walk towards the Kingdom of God.
Peace and every blessing!

The group is called Religion AND SPIRITUALITY. You don't need to believe in some religion to be spiritual. Maybe petition Yahoo to create your own private little group if you find it difficult to be in a group intended for a wider audience than just your personal beliefs.

I can't speak for anyone else, but my personal reason for being here is to try to enlighten people who are still stuck in the dark ages believing in an afterlife, as well as ghosts, demons, spirits, gods, etc.
Until a couple of years ago, I was a believer myself. I think it is terrible that most people don't realize this is their one chance at life. What a waste of so many lives.

Get over it. Everyone has the right to be here. Just because someone is a non believer does not mean they are not spiritual. Besides, a lot of atheists used to be believers, so that would "qualify" them being here. Other beliefs believe in deities, just not the Christian God. Does that mean they shouldn't be here either? Being a top contender, I would think you would be a little more accepting. Apparently not.
Thanks for using spell check. It makes it much easier to read and understand.

Because there isn't a non-believer atheist RS. Even if they did most people could care less what an atheist opinion is so if they didn't come here they would have no one to talk to. They demand respect and intelligence yet they are the ones posting stupid question and being rude to anyone of any faith. Why are they here? Because they can be.

I have noticed that as well and many no believers ask questions. Is that so bad though? As a Christian, I minister to others. I want people to hear about the Lord. I dont know what religion you are but the more non believers that come on this forum the more seeds i am planting.

where else would they go to have their questions about religion and spirituality answered.
and when soeone can answer their most cynical questions then maybe they will find a religion or spiritual path that suits them.
what would be the point of talking aobut religion and spirituality if you were just talking to other people that have the same beliefs.

Maybe some of us are looking for something to grab onto. Hoping that maybe someone can shed some light.
Not everyone on here is out to insult those with different beliefs.
Did someone say drinks? I've been out sick for TOO long! I want in!
