I want a Tibetan Sky-burial, but since the local Council would probably object I'm going to have all the bits of me that aren't donated for transplant cremated.

You mean cremated, I assume.

Doesn't matter to me, really. Burying my body would complete the cycle of life, returning the nutrients my body will hold to the ground, which in turn goes to the plants, etc. Burying these days, though, means you get your own little concrete cell inside a metal casket so your body is never touched. Bury me in a paper bag.

Well the proper term is cremated. (Burning denotes a lack of ceremony and a lack of proper procedure. They do something special to you before they cremate you, they don't just dump you in a furnace.)

My faith believes in burial because the Physical body is a Gift from God and we should not destroy it (even though in the resurrection even those who were cremated will be made whole again).

WHY DOES IT EVEN MATTER?? YOU WILL NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR EARTHLY REMAINS. WHY BE BURIED AND TAKE UP SPACE? BE CREMATED AND LET YOUR ASHES BE BLOWN AWAY IN THE WIND! I HAVE MADE ARRANGEMENTS TO DONATE MY BODY TO SCIENCE. THEY TAKE WHAT THEY WANT, THEN CREMATE THE REST AND SEND ME BACK TO MY FAMILY OR JUST THROW ME AWAY! MY SPIRIT IS LONG GONE!
