What would be the ideal amount of time in which to lose 50 or 60 lbs.?

Is three months too fast?

What will happen - bad?

No drugs, just no breakfast or lunch and large dinner.

Lots of outdoor exercise in the form of planting bushes, garden, flowerbeds, moving rocks;
and indoors - the 'ab lounge.'

losing weight is not bad per se; losing too much will depend on how much is too much; the most immediate and dangerous effect of losing weight fast is its effect on the heart - this is why yo-yo weight loss can kill; the overall weight should be taken into consideration; the best way is to eat properly (stay with plant-based, as oppose to animal-based, diet); try not to cook your food, but if you must, go with wet cooking (boiling, steaming, poaching) not dry cooking (frying, baking, broiling, roasting, etc); also, if you must cook, try not to go above 40 degrees centigrade - essential nutrients (like enzymes & vitamins) begin to break down above that temperature and you will end up eating "garbage"; try to get some healthy oils (fat-soluble vitamins, like A, D, E, & K, will not be absorbed without oil/fat); healthy oils are coconut (the best), olive (a distant 2nd), fish oils (but must come from wild-caught fish, not those from fish pens and farms), oils from seeds and nuts (but not extracted) and from avocado; AVOID CANOLA (before it became an edible oil, it was an industrial oil) and CORN OILS as well as other vegetable oils;

the way your losing the weight, no breakfast or lunch and a large dinner is coinsidered starving yourself, the problem with this is yes you'll drop the weight very rapidly but when you stop doing what your doing you will gain the weight back plus some as fast as you lost it. This is not healthy on your heart and can cause numerous health risk. The best way to lose weight is to eat 5-6 small meals a day and excersize. Cardio in the morning and light weights with alot of reps in the late afternoon or early evening. Your Doctor can put you on a good training program that will keep you healthy and im sure in the end you'll like the results.

if you lose more than 1-2lbs a week you are actually losing water weight and muscle not fat.
breakfast is the most important meal of the day - it tells your body it s time to wake up and start burning calories.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

I would suggest eating breakfast. If you don't eat breakfast, your body goes in to starvation mode and clings on to everything(including the unhealthy fats) that you would later consume in your "large dinner. As I said, eat breakfast, and maybe a slim fast or fruit and bottled water for lunch and a weight watchers meal for dinner (or something like subway) And also, there really is not quota for losing weight because everyone is different. For example, a man usually looses weight faster than women and also depends on whether or not this weight is more muscle weight or more fat. And also, planting in the garden sounds great. But I would suggest something like "Curves" I do it, and I lost 10 pounds easily. And also, try something like yoga as well. You can also join an aerobic class or do something fun like kick boxing.

its actually better for you dieting to not skip breakfast and lunch...and actually to eat 6(small) meals a day instead of 3

but losing weight too fast you risk losing muscle mass, putting strain on your heart, becoming malnourished, gaining it back(most people who lose a lot of weight quickly gain it back because they didnt learn correct eating habits) probably more but thats all i and think of now

most people recommend losing a max of 2lbs per week

Losing weight too fast can affect the heart and can cause a heart attack. also can affect kidneys and liver. Slow is the way to go. You don't want to shock your system. a pound or two a week is the best way to lose it.

Losing weight fat means that you have a better chance of putting it back on because you won't learn how to change your eating habits. I don't know how you gained the weight, but it's only healthy to lose it slowly. Take it from someone who's had to lose weight. You didn't put the weight on in a week; it shouldn't take you a week to take it all off.

your body has to have time to adjust to the changes. it can send your body into shock with excessive weight loss in a short matter of time. your body needs the nutrients to make it through the day, and if you only eat dinner that means you probably exercise before you eat. how well does your car drive on an empty tank of gas?
