She is 13 years old. We painted her room pink. much to my disgust, but she wanted it. Now for the right way to polkadot! We want them at least one foot in circumferance. So big dots, you know?

We are considering doing the same thing in our 3 daughters room. We have several ideas, one is to use a compass to create nice round cirlces on the wall and then hand paint them in, or to do the same thing on a piece of heavy cardboard and spray paint the circles in, or last my husband would like to just try and spray paint circles on the wall that are not "perfect" in other words, they would be kinda fuzzy around the edges. Maybe you could make a small scale of her wall on a piece of wood/cardboard and then try out some other ideas to see what you like.
We did vertical stripes in their room at one time and just taped the stripes in (after we used chalk lines to level) and they turned out really nice with a rough edge where the paint goes just slightly under the tape....looks great though!
Good luck and have fun!

If you have a Lowe's near you I would check out this product called Wall Pops. They already have pre cut polka dots in a wide variety of colors and they won't ruin your walls. You just wet the back and stick them on...they are repostionable and remove with water.
You can also make your own stencil but, she may out grow this soon.

If you used latex paint, stick-ons won't work for long. I would pick your paint and just use a stencil cut from a poster board or piece of plastic and paint them on.

Rub ons are hard to remove. How about buying a roll of removable contact paper and cutting circles out of it?
