NASCAR will do anything to try to get Jimmie Johnson to win again. I can't stand Jimmie I won't say what I think of him though it is very nice.

This is not new.Phantom debris, roll bar padding on the track, even drivers gloves has been a problem for years.NASCAR has attempted to stop this but it still happens.
The progression of the sport has gone from fan friendly to business friendly. The corporations that make up the sponsorship pay alot of money to NASCAR and in an attempt to thank the sponsor, things will happen to ensure that sponsors name is seen.
The LOWES car won at Atlanta,Atlanta is home to HOME DEPOT.Sponsorship/bussiness money.
Also the media plays a big part in the sport. The past champion is always the biggest contender for the present years championship. This makes him a media child.Same goes for the Rookie of The Year Contender,or for past champions or retiring drivers. These get a lot of press time and more press means more fans, more fans mean more dollars ,not just at a race but the sponsor and media.
So did NASCAR throw a phantom debris caution to assure the top contenders got fuel?or that the field would be stacked?I don't know.I know that several irregularities have happened this year and out comes of events have been altered.
As for the debris ,I never saw it,but a safety truck did go to the location.
That's all I have to say about that.

I don't buy into the 'conspiracy theories' about NASCAR trying to fix races or the championship. There are too many things out of their control for them to do that. HOWEVER.........I can see how people do buy into the conspiracy theories because quite often those debris cautions seem to be timed just right for certain drivers. That being said, there may have been someone else that benefitted from that caution besides JJ (and no I'm not a fan of his----can't stand him actually). The 'debris caution' could have also helped a car that was just lapped or about to be lapped.
I had always wondered about those mysterious debris cautions until we took a scanner to a race and listened to the NASCAR officials talking back and forth. There were times when a driver would report debris to his team and then they would relay that to the official in their pit who would then report it to the tower. The tower would inform their spotters to look for it and in the race we were at, no debris was seen by the spotter so no caution for the driver that was hoping for it.
These days, NASCAR errs on the safe side and if they can't determine if the debris that is spotted is truly a safety issue, or just a piece of shiny 200 mph tape, they will throw the caution......

This happened weeks ago, and my opinion still has not changed. They threw the caution for debris because Johnson wouldnt have made it to the end on fuel. As for those people who believe they didnt show the debris because its boring and nobody wants to see it, funny they showed the debris every other time they called a debris caution except for that time, they didnt even show the trucks on the track that time. Interesting to note the next broadcast they stated that they try and show the debris cleanup on the track when they can find it, but in that instance they didnt find it and couldnt show it. I dont know a big truck out there cleaning up debris would probably be easy to find, but they somehow couldnt see it with all their cameras. It was a phantom debris caution, and everyone knows it was.

I felt the same way the year that Matt Kenseth made his run for the Cup Championship. That boy just had the "luck of the Irish" with him every single race. Cautions came out for debris, cautions came out right after he went into the pits (not only keeping him on the lead lap, but GIVING him the lead), and all kinds of other bad calls.
NASCAR has really gotten bad these last few years about controversial calls. And, more often than not, the bad calls usually focus to help one driver or team most of the season. It almost makes one wonder if the Cup Champion is just the team that won the highest bid.
NASCAR has been saying that they are trying to make racing better, and trying to compete with the NFL for viewership. Personally, I think that they are making too many concessions to the sponsors, making bad calls that often make NASCAR seem as real as Professional Wrestling, and taking away from their traditional grass roots legacy. Heck, one of these days we'll probably see Ric Flair behind the wheel of one the C.O.T.'s. At that point, I may have to return to watching football.

I can see why he asked for no 48 fans to answer this question.
Is NASCAR throwing "phantom debris cautions" for him? He probably isnt the only one, but I highly doubt they are doing everything, and then some to throw the championship his (or Jeff Gordon's, or Tony Stewart's, or Dale Jr's way), because if that stuff came out that they were pretty much throwing races just so one of their golden boys can be ensured in winning a championship, NASCAR would be doomed.

I think you've fallen into the conspiracy wagon. I keep hearing "it was a phantom caution" or somebody is saying the races are fixed, BLAH BLAH BLAH.
BULL......
You should be asking why the TV broadcasters aren't showing the debris. Nascar has no say in what they show and don't show, when they break for commercials or station ID or what ever.
I even heard one guy say that they should put a helmet cam on the guy that picks up the debris.
C'mon, Do you really need to see some guy shoveling up a piece of crap off the track??
As for Nascar wanting him or anybody to win over somebody else. I'll answer that one with a question as well. WHY? Why would Nascar make it any easier for one driver than another, what would they possibly have to gain from it? NOTHING, that's what. It's not happening, it's all in your head.
ESPN or FOX or whoever is paying Nascar BIG bucks to televise the races, they need to put their commercials on so they can make money. Would you rather have them put the commercials on during green flag racing, or maybe you don't want to see them in the pits, what part of the race is the least important? What part of the race are you willing to not see, because without the commercials we wouldn't be seeing any racing on TV at all.
