A vodka tonic is an alcoholic drink made with varying proportions of vodka and tonic water. It is often accompanied by a slice of lime. A tonic water however is a fizzy soft drink flavoured with quinine, tonic water, or Indian tonic water gains its name from the medicinal effects of this slightly bitter flavouring.
