You have probably been living with some form of Christianity or Catholicism surrounding you, especially if you live in a Western country like here in the US. I don't know but maybe it's time to look into other religions now. If you have been around a religion for too long and don't really believe, it probably isn't the right one. Correct me if I'm wrong about that.

You might want to take a look into Islam because I know a lot of people who look into Islam and see it's beauty and truly find God and all of their questions are answered. Islam is the one true religion Karma. All you have to realize it in your heart and believe it. Think about it. Islam is the only religion that gives women equal rights as men. That's why about 70% of converts to Islam are women. Islam is the only religion that has unchanged holy scripture. The bibles today are not like the bible that God sent down to Jesus (peace be upon him) when he was a prophet. The same with the torah. The torah has been changed and is not in its original text either. The original torah and the original bible were surely the word of God but they have been changed drastically that a lot of what's in them is simply not true. The Quran on the other hand, is 100% God's word. None has been added to the Quran nor has anything been taken away or changed. If you gather all of the Quran's from all over the world, you will find that they are all identical. Not one word or even letter is different. The Quran is God's word. Some people don't want to accept the fact that this is true and continue following what they have been following and live blindly that way. But those who have faith and those who God has given light will know it in their hearts that Islam is the truth and the only truth.

I hope that this opened your heart a bit Karma. If you believe, go for it. If not, keep searching because if it wasn't for God we wouldn't be here and neither would any of His other creations be.

How's your karma Karma? How do you sort out all these answers and know what is right? Here is what you do.

Among the questions with links; pick out the one that seems the strangest, dumbest or most nigheve response of the lot. Click on the links offered and pursue them for three days. Then e-mail me and I will tell you if you made the right choice.

Belief is just a willingness to act on an idea or concept that you have in mind. Without belief you can't even get out of bed in the morning! Not being able to believe is not your problem.

Faith however is something else. It is a personal ability, and a gift from God, that works more like intuition. You won't find these definitions in the dictionary, but you will need them to know what is right.

God's speed.

Hello, Karma:

Your desire is the first step, because God gives us a measure of faith, and just the fact that you are looking tells me you are on the right track.

Blessed is he who hungers and thirsts after righteousness, for he shall be filled--that is a promise by Jesus himself.

We hear much of John 3:16,--Just believe, but Jesus also said in Jn. 3:20: "Everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God."

That is why 90 % of the responders on Yahoo Answers are skeptics--they cling to their sins and beligerance. But if you are willng to humble yourself and be taught, God will reveal Himself to you.

I was in your position three decades ago--uncertain that God existed. Then I offered a prayer: "God if you are really there, reveal yourself to me."

He directed me right to His Word, and I read ten different translation cover-to-cover--they all tell the same story in similar wording.

Also, I made a pact with God that I would never tell a lie to support a church doctrien--"It is written" would be my guide.

Not exactly certain why, but He reveled to me a secret code in the Bible. It unlocks the only part that says "these words are sealed and closed up until the end of the days." That code proves Jesus is the promised Messiah, identifies Antichrist, and defines the timing of the great conflict between the forces of evil and Heaven. See: www.revelado.org/revealed.htm

It is probably best that you are a skeptic as you read it, because it presents thoughts that ministers do not know, or speak against. Read it in a prayerful attitude and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

Blessings, OneWay

If your having a problem with believing then its spirituality your having a problem with not religion.
You need to search independently, read the bible and other religious texts, research. Ask questions and then research the answers you get. Make your choice in a spiritual sense before jumping to any religion. I think religion comes secondary.
Supposly when its right your will feel it in your heart.
Oddly I am agnostic and all I feel is I dont know...coming to terms with that is harder than actually choosing a religion. I am telling you this because you may be stuck at that "I dont know stage" for a long time...yet it is ok.
I believe if there is a God he would want you to rather make a dedicated decision based on what you know and truely believe to be true than rather rushing to a decison based on what others are telling you to be true.

Hi

This is a good sign. You have it in your heart and you know that God is here. Whatever you do, DO NOT let anyone force you into any religion. And DO NOT follow a religion just because your friends are doing it. Accept invites and seek knowledge and if you believe, then you know you have it.

There is only one right religion because no two are the same and there is only one truth. It is illogical for more than one religion to be true because none are identical.

Islam is a unique religion because not only is it a religion, it is a complete way of life that leads to happiness, peace, and ultimately to success in the afterlife.

If you are interested, you can visit these links that might help you find the true religion. But remember, there is only one true religion. This is probably the most important moment of your life and your eternity as well.

Sweetie, that is wonderful you have so many questions, because that means you are really serious about it...You will know when you have found the right religion, because the others will make no sense to you compared to what you decide on...You will never be punished for believing the wrong thing...You have to find out for your self what is right for you.!! NO one can do it for you...it is your decision....
Good Luck to You & God Bless You in your
search for the truth.

If you research enough different religions, you'll find that you'll agree more with some than others. Eventually, you may very well find one that you're comfortable with. religioustolerance.org is a good source to start with.

As for fear of being pushed for following the "wrong" religion, I've heard so many zealots claim "No, our group is the right one, so follow US, or something bad will happen to you!" But it's ridiculous because none of these groups have a good reason as to why I should take their word over some other group saying the same thing. So I just took a pragmatic view and went with the religion that made the most sense to ME.

Also, be aware that there are lots of people out there wanting to prey on the religiously confused to get you to join them. And they're all of the "my religion is the only right one!" school of thought, like I just mentioned. I'm sure some will give me a thumbs-down on this post just to feel a little more self-righteous.

You'll know whats right inside yourself. Don't believe any single faith just because they are scaring you into it. Your god is your god. Develop your own personnel understanding of him/her/it and follow that. If there is a religion that closely believes the way you do sure practice that one but that doesn't mean you have to believe everything that religion teaches. Religions were made by people and subject to those peoples ideals and opinions. Your god is yours and only yours.

Having faith and believing in God or a higher power has nothing to do with religion. Religions were formed to meet human's need to make sense of their lives or rise above their environments. Religions are man made and reflect their time period and the beliefs of a culture during a specific time. Sometimes they evolve and sometimes they do not.
Faith comes from an unwavering belief (not necessarily defined by a religion) in something. Try to think of something that you would not waver from even if confronted with the worse possible situation. For example would you kill your parents or child in order to save your own life or would you accept your fate, because your belief in not killing your parents or child to save your own life is unwavering?
It is difficult to explain, but there are many instances in your life where you do believe something or have faith. I guess faith is a real commitment to a belief.
