when Jesus said that they willn't see nor understand?

Luke 8 :10 And He said, "To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is given in parables, that 'Seeing they may not see, And hearing they may not understand.'

Shouldn't we spend more of our time/money helping christian families, communities and countries?

We should be spending time/money reaching out to the kids, and the people that want to learn but have no one to teach.

"...... it is not the healthy that need a doctor but the sick....."

Jesus didn't spend all of his time with believers. He was questioned by believers as to why he would eat & drink with unbelievers. He responded by saying they needed him worse than the believers, and He said Christians should do the same - spread the truth. The word teaches that the rich will have a hard time getting into the kingdom of God.

Luke 8:10 was in reference to a prophetic verse from Isaiah, and the parables were in fullfilment thereof.

The answer: To Christians, it is probably the greatest act of love towards others and God to prostilitize.

Only God knows who will and won't accept his message, and at what time. Continual teaching of God's good news is the final commandment that Jesus gave to his followers.

You're right, many people can't accept the simple gift of Christ's sacrifice, but they need to at least hear about it. And yes, we should spend more time and money helping the poor, not just Christian.

we r hear to save the lost, The family's of God r not lost. Jesus spent most of his time with sinners not the saints. So the money is to be spent to everything really, us, the non believers, the poor. All that is the teachings of Jesus Christ. And don't forget what the Blood was for, U need money to spread the Gosple.

But didn't Jesus also say to go preach the gospel to all the nations? How will they be saved if we don't tell them? Even if most of the times our efforts seem to fall on deaf ears, we must continue. If no one told me the truth I would never have known....neither would have you. If the apostles did nothing the gospels would not have spread beyond the few 100 that first believed.

That is the crossroad I stand at now. Tired of speaking from the heart to help out others, specially when they desire no help in the first place.

Like a man sitting in a burning car.....wish to give a hand but if the person doesn't realize the car is on fire to begin with, what can you really do?

I would say focus on homeless and those w/o food. Least get them on their feet and let them walk before giving anymore to those that can already walk.

No, Its nice to give time and money helping people but, you cant take what you have here with you. You cannot store up your treasures here on earth.

There will always be people who will not listen. But we are as Christians commanded to testify of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore you witness to people and tell them of the great sacrifice Jesus made for them on the cross. Amen.

That scripture was specifically to the Jewish audience He was addressing at that time. The Jewish people of His day had rejected Him as Lord and Messiah, that's why they crucified Him. Mat 9:37-38 says, "The Harvest truly is plenteous but the laborers are few. Pray ye therefore to the Lord of the Harvest that He will send forth His laborers into the Harvest". The Lord says that if we will "pray" He will send laborers to bring in unbelievers.

Soul winning is most important because it is the last commandment given to us by Lord Jesus. And we are expected to win souls.

Matthew 28:19; "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:"

Mark 16:15; "And he said unto them,Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."
