why is it important to eat wheat?

Wheat bulks up your diet and increases fibre and roughage in your diet............ I can't eat bread and cereals cos I' gluten intolerant so I eat more rice, beans, peas, lentils to fill me up. Wheat is carbohydrates and will give you energy, rice, beans, peas etc... will also sustain you and give you long lasting enegy....:0)

no there are subs for wheat some people are gluten intolerant and they cant have ANY wheat or they get sick but 100% whole wheat provides insoluble fiber which makes up the bulk of your stool

It is just the common western carb, in Asia it is rice.
Wheat is not necessary , it is just what is common here.
