Nothing at all. Unless some of these other posters would be around to laugh at him, then I'd tell them to mind their own business. Shouldn't be anything wrong with a guy using nailpolish if he wants to. Stupid double standards, women can wear pants and no one looks at her twice for the past seventy years or so, but a guy who wears a skirt and everyone thinks he's weird or gay or both. If a man wants to use makeup or polish or whatever, why the h-ll not?

To be honest, we have polished quite a few guys toe nails while they were sleeping. It might have been a joke, but does not hurt to ask. Just ask "Who did your nails? Just an honest question, I am sure he will tell you who did it and why

If hes your guy, dont care that he does have it. I have a friend that does, and when he tells me he colored them, I just laugh and he finds it funny too. But if your guy does not have a sense of humor at all, don't laugh. Haha
