I know! This is a good question. Also if a pregnant lady gets murdered, the person who murdered the lady gets charged with taking 2 lives because they count her unborn child as a life. That doesn't make sense either.

Where exactly does the "future human" begin?
Every atom in your body was once deep within a star. You were a potential human then, too.

Abortion isn't anybody but the mother and fathers, if hes in the picture, business. Nobody has a right to tell a person what they can and cannot do with their body or the parasite that resides in it.

This is what bugs me about people who are pro-life. Instead of protesting and standing outside of abortion clinics scaring people (I'm not saying you do this, but many do) why not do something to help single pregnant mothers? That's great if you don't believe in abortion, don't have one, but don't tell the 16 year old pregnant girl whose parents would kick her out if they found out she is pregnant that she can't have one. I think everyone who votes to ban abortion should have to offer their home and/or money to a young pregnant mother for forcing her to have her baby when she's unable to care for it.

Convenience and state sanctioned abortion to lower the population. It may not be right, but that seems to be much of the current climate.
Personally, I think it is a gift to be treasured. But maybe I am just old fashioned that way.

No, its hard to believe. And nothing makes it less than a future human, except that its mother chooses not to have it. It is still human, and in my opinion, still a life.
