A good way to lose weight is to go on a solid food fast! Try not to eat anything solid for a week. Weigh yourself before and after. Drink as much as you need to (non alcoholic). If you have to eat, eat only vegetables and salads with only a little bit of dressing (low fat's even better) and even less cheese!

This is a fun thing to try, especially when you're hangin with a bunch of friends who are scarfin down pizza and you have to explain why you're not eatin lol, but trust me its worth it.

No milkshakes but you can do protein shakes and smoothies just remember your tryin to lose weight not sustain or gain. Minimize the carbs and stay active.

Then when you start to eat again after your first week, keep it light and small. Get your stomach warmed up. This is totally healthy dispite of how you might feel. Just remember to stay hydrated, because you can go weeks without eating but only three days without water.

By the end of the week I guarantee you'll have lost at least 3 to 5 pounds. I did this for a month (not completely I kinda cheated here and there) and I lost 23 pounds! It's hard to stick with but not really. Give it try and see how you do.
Oh and just because you fail a couple time doesn't mean this diet isn't for you it just means you have to work on it.

You must be young. Our society teaches girls from the time they're little that the only way to be worthwhile, happy, desirable and likeable is to be thin. That being said, losing weight is simple math. If you burn more calories than you take in, you will lose weight. No matter what diet you are on and no matter what you eat, you will lose weight if you eat less than your body uses.

Don't starve yourself. Eats lots of fruits, vegetables, salads, whole wheat bagels, fish, etc. Have junk food just once in a while. Walk, ride a bike, get some aerobics videos (they are fun!), and be patient with yourself.

And please remember that losing weight will help you feel better, but you are probably depressed about something else. Try to figure out what that is so you can work on that too.

Trust me, you are beautiful and valuable no matter what you look like. Please take care of yourself, physically and emotionally.

P.S. Diet pills are a scam. They don't work. If they did, no one would be overweight!

You are in my exact situation. if you truly are having symptoms or depression, such as lethargy, feelings of uselessness, or insomnia, you should think about getting prescription medication from a doctor or psychiatrist, not because you are in danger of destroying yourself, but because it might be the only way for you to stop being depressed and start on a path toward well-being. Also, diets will not help you lose weight and become healthier in the long run. I know it's hard, but you have to wait out those moments of weakness and really believe you can get back into shape. eating smaller meals more frequently throughout the day, limiting eating after 6 or 7 in the evening, and avoiding high sugar and high fat foods like certain cheeses, soda, sugary and "nutritious" cereals and granola bars, and of course fast food will really help to lower your calorie intake. drinking plenty of water is a must and will help you feel full more often, taking away those cravings. do not over exercise or overdiet, as this results in binging and exhaustion. try to keep a regular schedule as much as is possible, allowing yourself to a treat every once in a while, but in moderation (like A piece of chocolate or A cookie, not the whole box) and make sure to eat plenty of vegetables and fiber, they help clean out your system and burn more calories in digestion. cardio will help you lose the weight but core and strength training will help you lose inches and gain a figure. create a healthy lifestyle for yourself that you will be able to live by for a long duration instead of trying to lose all the weight at once. hope this helps!

when people are lost, they need to make lists and goals. basically, just start over like today is day 1.. not day 50 of losing a battle and wondering what you can do better.

make a statement of your goal first. then make a list of all the realistic things you can do to achieve that goal. take that list a tape it on a mirror or a wall and make sure you do it. if it helps, buy yourself a pair of pants or shirt that you would like to fit in and stick it our like a sore thumb in your closet. once a week, try it on to see how far you're progressing.

the journey is tough, but it'll be well worth it.

losing weight is not just a diet. you want to stay like that, so you really need to change your whole life style. surround yourself with people that care about you and love you and will support you. start eating healthy and excercising. You dont need to do anything drastic, just decrease your food intake, whatch your calories, and dont over eat. also drink a lot of water.

exercise is the best answer for that. i know its probably not the answer you wanted to hear, but it does give you added energy, which makes you happier. besides, when youre depressed, people tend to eat more and it causes weight gain. i have to force myself to exercise sometimes, but when i do, i feel so much better afterward!
