Hey quick question...First, know that I don't intend on keeping this weight off but I would like your opinion on this. Here's the story: I was measured for a costume back in November and I've gained some weight (10-12 pounds)come today it doesn't fit right. It can't be altered anymore. It zips and its not like its going to rip but it fits like a glove and I'd like it a little looser. So...here are my ideas: First, I'm going to wear a girdle type thing (it goes beneath the leotard finely)-that should give me an inch or so and I've planned on eating a small bag of baby carrots and a bottle of zero calorie/carb/sugar sweet tea a day for the next week or so. How much do you think that should help? I mean, the costume's not terrible, but I'm selfconcious and the costume lady's giving me crap...so yeah. Opinions?

I didn't read what you said necessarily, just skimmed. So this may not even help at all. But diets malnourish your body. Depending on the diet itself.. but I suggest you eat 1800 calories a day, and burn 2000.. everyday... It's hard to know how much you've already burned though. So one of your regular days take a stepometer with you.. or whatever its called.. it should tell you approx. how many calories you've burned... so then consider you've burned about that much after a normal day, and you've only eaten 1800 calories.. go to the gym and burn off the remaining.

First off some of it might be water weight as well. Consider doing cardio like crazy. Whenever my friends are getting ready for a performance, she does 45 min of cardio a day. This can be anything--jump roping, treadmill, stair climber. Also, speed up your metabolism by measuring the correct portion of cereal for breakfast and every 3-4 hours eat a cup of yogurt. Have those carrots for lunch but if you are eatting at 8am, then yogurt at 11 and again at 2 you probably won't be that hungry. A very healthy dinner (prior to 7pm). And also try to always be hungry for 30 min before you allow yourself to eat. That is when you start burning fat.

Add a lot of water--if you can handle that 8 glasses of water great. If you can't, 5 is fine but drink as much water as you can. Cut out all soda. Cut out dessert. Especially bread desserts like cake. Just doing that for 2 weeks should do it.

You should be able to lose the inches very rapidly--if not the actual pounds. However when do you need to wear the costume? Cause you need at least 2 weeks.
