For instance, it is spelled out in the Bible that there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous. Acts 24 14-15 But the wicked will not be resurrected. How do we know this and how do we know who is wicked?

After further research in answer to my own question, I guess what I am really getting at is there really is no distinction between the wicked and the unrighteous in the Bible. There will be 2 resurrections, the first of the just and after 1,000 years that of the unjust, to judjement. Both shall be resurrected, just not at the same time. No difference between unrighteous and wicked. Thanks all for answering.

Good thing we don't need to know who is wicked. Let God be the judge of that.

the bible also calls god jealous is this reliable ? a sin infested
god what will they say next? I'll define wicked and righteous by Daniel Webster . maybe the biblical idea is wicked is unrighteous but not necessarily can it be said that unrighteous is wicked ., leaving the lack of righteousness as the middle ground before wickedness is displayed . Did that help any? if not try the dictionary it's really quite simple to me.
Main Entry: un·righ·teous
Pronunciation: -'rI-ch&s
Function: adjective
1 : not righteous : SINFUL, WICKED
so the bible is either in error or giving a specialized esoteric meaning .

Wicked is the doing, unrighteousness is the thinking about the doing.

Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts....

As for Acts 24:15 the word is just and unjust >> all shall rise.

That which does not conform to God’s standard of moral excellence is wicked, bad, evil, or worthless. Like the Greek word po·ne·ri′a (Mt 22:18; Mr 7:22; Lu 11:39; Ac 3:26; Ro 1:29; 1Co 5:8; Eph 6:12), the Hebrew verb ra·sha‛′ and related forms designate that which is wicked. (Ge 18:23; 2Sa 22:22; 2Ch 20:35; Job 34:8; Ps 37:10; Isa 26:10) Po·ne·ros′ (related to po·ne·ri′a) often signifies that which is evil or wicked in a moral sense (Lu 6:45) and can apply to something that is bad or worthless in a physical sense, as when Jesus Christ spoke of “worthless fruit.” (Mt 7:17, 18) This word can also describe something that is hurtful and, at Revelation 16:2, has been rendered “painful” (AT, TEV) and “malignant.”—NE, NW

My Bible says: "that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust." KJV

I'm not sure where you are getting that there is a distinction between wickedness and unrighteousness. It would stand to reason that you are either one or the other, ie. just or unjust.

You can fairly well perceive if a person is "just" or "unjust" by observing their communications or actions over a period of time. However, only God truly knows the heart of man, so we must leave it up to Him to decide who falls in each category.

In fact, you should check the formal division and the latter division.

●The word "unrighteous" is for the ones who brought Saint Paul accused. At that period of time, the Rome Government did not believe in the story and Gospel of Jesus Christ, especially the part of his Resurrection. So the Government and most of the people would regard Jesus as a kind of unrighteous.

○However, no matter what, all is righteous only for the admittance and belief of for Resurrection of Jesus Christ, then it will be righteous. And most important of all, we should go the the right church.

1 John 3:4
4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.

Matthew 13:41-43
The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

1 John 3: 10
10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.

People are wicked if they sin. Sin as described above is lawlessness. God's law is to Love God with all your heart mind and soul and love your neighbor as yourself. If you do these two things you fulfill the law. If you do these two things you will not be able to break the ten commandments...you will not be able to bring yourself to murder someone if you love. Love is willing the best for the other person.

You asked about the resurrection....

Revelations 20:11-15
11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God,[c] and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.[d] 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

That is what will happen...both righteous and unrighteous will be resurrected and receive their due. All will reap what they have sown.

unrighteous or wicked no matter how you call it. the common denominator is SIN. SIN is causing us to separate from God. Unless you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior for your sins and be born of Spirit and of Water you cannot enter nor see the Kingdom of God (john 3:2-7).

if you really wanna know what is wickedness, the bible tells us that the "love fo money is a root of all kinds of evil" (1 tim. 6:10). But i'd rather be busy knowing God more than knowing what is evil, as it is automatic that when you get to know the RIGHTEOUS One you will also know how you fall short of Him. :)

Life teaches you all about the wicked of the world and if your a young person and haven't experienced this world yet then you will and it's thru lifes experiences you will find all this out. Human nature is to "trust" other humans. When you have your first experience with a wicked human being you will never forget it. Unfortunately, your "trust" level will be different also. Life is the best school you will ever go to to learn everything you need to know.

John 3:16, the passage is who so ever will,

Who so ever, its a choice, to do right or wrong, If the blood of christ is not on the sin, a good person can be wicked and not even know it. Sin is sin,, If Christ resurrected himself in you, and others, salvation is there, anyone who has not resurrection power in there heart, is wicked, simple,

That's a big problem for me. The Bible draws no truly clear distinctions. How CAN it, after over 2000 years worth of translations and mistranslations and omissions etc...? In my opinion, the Bible's foundation is the Golden Rule. After that...it's a series of chapters, 'based on a true story'. Who knows what the original Bible even said?
