You are suppose to examine yourself. To deny communion to a scandalous sinner is a sin. How do you know they haven't ask for forgiveness. We are not appointed to be little god's. We are to forgive as we are forgiven.

Well publicly scandalous people should read 1 Cor 11:24-33. Because if your heart is not right and you take communion with sin in your life it can kill you. Because it is a holy act. You can bring all kinds of sicknesses, diseases, and tragedies in your life by not taking communion seriously. Paul wrote, "......this is why many of you are sick, and weak and some even sleep (died). For if we would judge ourselves then we not be judged". If they want to take it, their blood be on their own heads.

Yes! But, and I underline the word, to be publicly scandalous we must refrain from poluting the Holy Sacrament of Communion by our conduct, and here is the BUT. Do not stop praying for the sinner!

The scandals of which you write are those sins which are held up by sinners as right and proper, in spite of their obvious abhorrence to God, and the church.

Anyone who attempts such a thing should be properly reprimanded, and unless and until they repent, they have no business even attempting to receive communion.

Of course. It's far worse to sin out loud. No self respecting christian would dare touch the host if he or she were publicly known to have sinned. You should always sin behind everyone's back. Whisper your sin to the priest in a dark little closet and do your penance. Only then you can go to communion. I'm getting so tired of explaining the finer christian values to a bunch of thick headed sinners who never go to confession. They never give ten percent of all they make to the pope so he can live in his castle, never sit in church for hours listening to the priest drone on and on, never sit, stand, kneel, sit stand kneel, and sit stand and kneel. They just go around enjoying life and thinking there's no everlasting life with saints and angels that have wings. Come on, people, get real.

I have been taught that you have to be of certain mind and spirit to get holy communion. You have to have repented sin and gained forgiveness and such to take part in it for if you take part and have not made repentence to God you will go to Hell for this sin. Holy Communion under false pretenses is not going to go well with God. Now this is what I was taught and what my church goes by.

Only those in kindred spirit and mind with God should partake of this communion.

Yes, I am appalled to see some priests give communion to politicians and entertainment personalities in my country who are self-admitted womanisers and adulterers.

The Church teaches that we must be in a state of grace when we receive communion, so why?

Peace and every blessing!

Christ Jesus died for everyone, all sin, how then can we say no to someone who wants to share in the body of Christ. Each person has their own conscience and they decide whether or not if their mind and heart is ready to receive the body and blood of Christ Jesus in a worthy manner.
I do not believe it is our duty to reject anyone from holy communion.
God Bless You....Peace.

absolutely not the church, communion and anything that concerns God is for all sinners and we all come short of the glory of God,we are not capable of setting in judgement of anyone priests, preachers or anyone that denies the right to honor and keep in rememberance our Father would be trying to set in judgement of that person
