She is not necessarily in hell just because she committed suicide. Who knows what horrors she went through, in her mind at least, that led her to such a desperate act.
If your mother really did commit suicide, I think it is rather cruel of you to use her in a joke like this.

Soory to hear that friend. Although suicide is murder, there is more to it than that. First of all there are mental conditions that could cause a person to do that. We don't know that only God does. Also your mom is not in hell,as most people think of hell. Hell simply means the grave. The spirt returns to God that gave, whether good or evil. Ecclesiasties 12:7. Also, remember God is fair and He will not judge anoyone to eternal death until they have full knowledge of Him and still reject him. And with the level of intelligent teaching today, most people haven't got a prayer. Thats what the milinnium is for,a time of teaching.

Your mother will surely be forgiven, because those who resort to suicide are almost always in a mental state in which they are not accountable for their actions. Nowhere does the Bible say that suicide is the unforgivable sin. All sin is forgivable except for "blasphemy against the Holy Spirit" - that is very clear in the Bible. Therefore, don't listen to anyone who tells you that suicide is an unforgivable sin. Your mother obviously was going through something very terrible, and it caused her to not see reality clearly, and that is why she committed suicide. God loves her and won't allow someone who was suffering so intensely like that to suffer yet more in hell. God is not so cruel. He has taken your mother into his loving arms to console her from the pain she was feeling from life. Please do not think she is suffering more.

There is nothing in the Bible that says one will go to Hell for committing suicide. As a matter of fact, there have been several questions on here this evening about the unpardonable sin, and it isn't suicide.

Only God knows your mother's heart. I pray that she had accepted Jesus as her savior before she died. If she did, then she's in Heaven with Him.

My goodness hon, how cruel do you think God is? Your mother was unstable if she committed suicide, for whatever reason she was not capable of making right decisions at the moment of her death.

God knows this, so don't you listen to religious idiocy ... know that above all else, God loves us. He knew that if your mother had been herself she would not have done what she did, and I'm sure He's holding her in His arms now, and she is comforted and sane once again.

You'll see her when you die, and it will be in Heaven :)

No.

unfortunately there is a sad truth to our loved ones not making it to heaven. Though in Luke, Christ gives what is thought to be a parable of a richman waking in hell and seeing Lazarus in the bosom of Abraham. (Luke 16:22-26) This account however I think to be a truth. However it is not clear whether we will even be able to see past this barrier between the realms of hell.

However, if you are faithful contemplate this.
Heaven is indeed more beautiful and great than words can describe and we can fathom. This in itself should overcome sorrow. But in fact sorrow is taken away from us! (Rev 21:4)
The fatihful. The saints are called to be judges. (1Corinthians 6:1-3)

How then could we judge our child, or brother, or best friend, if they have transgressed from God? Except if we are stripped of our sorrow, there only remains knowledge of God's commandments.

As for your mother's mental state. Ask yourself honestly what state she was in. God's simple and reccurring comandment is to turn from our sin, turn from our iniguity, turn to him. If she wasn't mentally handicapped, or injured or diseased, chances are hell is her likely destination.

This doesn't make God cruel, in fact it makes him fair. (Ezkiel 18:21-30) All people are given the same criteria to reach heaven. There are no loopholes.

Because your mom committed suicide doesn't mean she is in hell. What were the circumstances surrounding her suicide? God takes things like this into consideration. He knows people commit suicide out of deep depression.

What if heaven and hell don't exist? Then you could just grieve for the loss of you mother without having to worry about what if...?
If there is a God they would treat everybody fairly, heaven would not just be made for those who believe but these who do good. Hell would be for those who are evil.

First of all, how do you know your mom is in Hell? If she was saved, she went to Heaven when she died. Second, you can't cross the bridge between Heaven and Hell.

No.

Jesus told a parable to this effect. Look up the story of the Rich Man and Lazarus for a reference similiar to this. You will find it in Luke 16:19 through 31.

There is a great chasm between heaven and hell, preventing inter-dimentional travel.
