CHARISMA: I agree with you...it is striving for something, because I've had the all-loving boyfriend and not been fulfilled. I've had successes, but shorty after wanted more. I think your last point is most powerful...Unity

MICHAEL: Being 'seen' is one of the greatest feelings in the world for me.

Inner harmony. Some may call that spiritual, & it's close. But truly to me, it's emotional since it creates a feeling of serenity & peace. Perhaps it is both! But without it, (often laboriously accomplished), love, security & so on sort of spin off & aren't peceived in the same way. Life becomes chaos. The balance of mind, body & spirit is our "core god"--I know I'm treading on thin ice here, but that's okay. If, so very subjectively! I believe inner harmony is a way to "feel" your life the best to your benefit, & to others, well, I'd still say it's an emotional need! (Unless someone enlightens me, which I always welcome.)

What is the reason we get stressed out when on vacation?
What is the reason we strive to reach a goal?
Why do we go through stress to have a perfect holiday?
Worry about our bodies?
Nit pick at every detail planning a wedding?
Practice singing in the shower?
Dancing in our car?
Have sex?
Killers kill?
............................................
They all are the same.. we all strive for the perfect moment... perfection. the ultamate high. however, everyone wants to achieve it in a different way, and it is never perfect. So we try for the next "big" thing.

the answer to avoid continuous let downs? Realize that heaven, (where you came from) is within. Everyone/everything is a stich in the fabric of the universe.

Alfred Adler: Belonging and significance, which I think was a superb attempt for his day. More advanced than Freud, his contemprary, in my estimation.

Me: Understanding. We enjoy being right, we want to be loved, but we deeply crave being truly understood and "seen". Whenever we have this, we do better in life. It is possible to do well without it, but it is much harder going. We're hard wired for connection at our deepest levels from infancy through adulthood.

Death; Finality; Nirtsah.

If not sought at first, invariably sought later or forced upon by circumstances.

Love, hate and so on frequently generated and encountered, all unnecessarily bothersome qualities in a world without.

Everybody is right. But what might be right for someone might not be right for someone else.

Perhaps the greatest need is to be accepted for what we are.
