The lack of intelligence that is so abundant these days is what frightens me the most.

I love hearing everyone's point of view even if it doesn't mesh with mine! I love to learn new things about the way a person's mind works and the differences of religions! There is only ignorance and close-mindedness because people are scared of new and sometimes unusual ideas. That is what is wrong with most people. They are scared that the other person may know more about what is really happening in this world then they do or that the other may actually have it right while they don't. Really, everyone would be happier if they just opened their minds to new things.

What do you mean, "as you WANTED them to be"? If I had my way, they wouldn't be so dumb, evil, ignorant, stubborn, close-minded, dogmatic, blind and inflexible. The fact is that no matter one's belief, we all think we're right. Love for our neighbor compels us to teach others what is right. Love doesn't say "OK, you're beliefs are not mine and I know they're wrong, but it's OK with me if you suffer the consequences as long as you're happy right now believing what you do." That's like a parent telling their kid,"Well, little Johnny, I disagree with you, but I know you think it'll be alright to play in the street, so go ahead if it makes you happy, son!" We all think/hope/pray that we can help save that living, breathing human being. Don't we?

Great point. . .now, would you mind letting all the Catholic-bashers, atheist-trashers, and Jewish-clashers on this forum know that?
We'd all be far ahead of the game if people realized that there are real human beings attached to those labels, and that we have feelings, too. Maybe there'd be a lot less hurt and upset if we all just tried to see the other person as a friend and not a member of the 'enemy camp.'

It's not really that frightening. 2 Corinthians 4:3,4 says: "If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through."
Satan is the ruler of this world and a master at propoganda. The entire world we live in is designed to turn people away from worshipping God in a way that's acceptable to Him. There are but a few who struggle against this influence and against their own sinful tendencies and try to help others find the narrow path that leads to life. We do this one door at a time, in obedience to Matthew 28:19, 20.

Nope. The death of my kids, my husband, is much more scary. Lets see, it would also be more frightening if my children were victims of some sensless crime, or my hubby was injured on his job, and never was the same. Cancer is scary.
Now that I think about it, compared to most of the things I can think of, that has GOT to be the least frightening thing I can imagine. Good shot though.

We all are human beings no matter where you live, believe,or look like. The only things that makes us different is our minds.
All that we are is a result of what we have thought.

Wrong.
I have never been frightened by someone that doesn't share my beliefs. What is frightening is an insane person that claims to be religious.
