COPD is Chronic, meaning developed over a long time, obstructive meaning causing the oxygen to be obstructed, Pulmonary disease. The fact it is chronic you can hope for a long time and how old are you now? How hard is it to breath now? Can you walk up stairs ok? No matter what people tell you the reality is how you feel and how you are doing and how rapid things get worse can give you an indication of how long you expect to live

copd is not a death sentence...a lot of people with it live well into there 80's you just need to get a good doctor, and the right help to stay healthy. There is no set amount of time to live or not to...you probably were given some inhalers make sure you follow all of your doctors advice.

Well that is hard to say. A person would need to know your height, eating habits, fitness level, and so forth to figure that out. But recent studies have shown that people who are SLIGHTLY over weight live longer than people who are pencil thin. Plus, weird things happen. You could be in the best shape of your life and get hit by a bus.
