Are there any surefire ( or near) ways to get the girl. Im not one of those hopeless guys who admires from a far, but, rejection could do some damage.

dress good, act confident, have your hair and nails done, give her a little look and a smile, if she smiles and looks back - go and talk to her.

There's not one magic thing you can do that will work on every girl... she has to be attracted to you and that's generally not something you can control.

There's nothing really sure fire. One of the best ways though is to be really nice and honest.
