"Almond milk" is really just blanched almonds, grounded into powder.

how to make it:
blanch almonds by letting them soak in hot water for an hour. slide the skins off. the water releases the calcium iin the almonds.

place the almonds AND THE WATER in the blender and put it on high, until it's pulverized (grounded into power) and the water looks like milk.

you can add a banana to make a milkshake. it's a great dariy-free shake for those who can't drink milk.

and my dad whos a chef makes this really delicious sweeet almond dessert/soupish receipe :D

Almond milk is basically just almonds ground with water and then strained to remove the bits. Think 'almond juice'. You can buy it in any Natural Foods store or in any well-stocked grocer's with the other natural foods.
