why can't you just not marry one? And leave well enough alone? Why do you feel you have the right to impose your beliefs and values on others who may not agree with you? Why do you feel that the government should take a political stance based on a religious sect? Do you not believe in the separation of church and state?

I mean, why do you feel the government should conform to Christianity and your religions beliefs and use those beliefs and values to impose laws on people who may not share your common belief system. Doesn't that seem a bit self righteous to you? Like saying "We have all the answers to life, so follow our rules"?

Setting moral opinions aside for a moment.

Democracy dictates that the laws of the land reflect the morality of a majority of its citizens.

If the majority of its citizens think that marriage should be only between one man and one women then a democracy should reflect that opinion.

This is how a democracy works.

With love in Christ.

I have a problem with the "marriage" thing because Marriage is between a man and woman.

Gays are not forbidden to marry, quite the contrary, they can indeed marry anybody of the opposite sex they want to.

What you are wanting is same sex "marriage" which can not be classified as marriage since it is not the definition of marriage.

What is the purpose of Marriage? When gays and others can answer that question without attacking the institution of marriage, then perhaps they may be allowed to create another word, engage in it and have the same rights that the government bestows on married couples.

Otherwise, enter into civil contracts that protect the rights of the lover.

(I will give you $1000 if you can find the words "Separation of Church and State" in the US Constitution or its amendments)

The real question is, Why does government bestow certain rights and priviledges to married couples? When you can answer that question without bashing "breeders" or the Government, then you will have the answer to why same sex couples are not allowed to marry each other.
