Ok, to answer your question, the only possible way that being hungry can burn calories, that I can see, would be from your stomah growling.
That might burn calories but not that many.

Baby thinking yes thinking burns calories...ask any doctor. Watching tv burns calories but not nearly enough to lose weight so relax.

No, Being awake burns calories but being hungry does not burn more calories. In fact if your body is really hungry(starving) it will choose protein(muscle) over fat.

No, it doesn't.
If you're looking to lose weight, it's actually better to stay away from being hungry. Eat small meals often to keep your metabolism working all day. If you get really hungry and eat a huge meal, your metabolism won't be able to digest all the calories and will store them as fat.

being hungry puts you in a catabolic state. it just means you're losing body tissue. anabolic would be the opposite. you build tissue, mostly muscle. when you lose that tissue, you're losing both body fat and muscle. now it may sound nice that your losing body fat, but realize that as you lose muscle, your metabolism goes down. most peoples hunger lags behind their metabolism. basically, you'll want to eat as much at a lower metabolism, so you'll be in a calorie surplus (fat gain). it's a vicious cycle: lose muscle and fat, eat the same, gain fat, starve, lose muscle and fat, eat same calories, gain fat. gradually, you'll lose more and more muscle, as you retain the same amount of fat, or maybe even increase fat. i would suggest against this. simply burning calories does not achieve fat loss. weight loss yes, but not fat loss.

No, but letting yourself go hungry longer will slow down your metabolism, so that you burn less calories no matter what you're doing.
