This is NOT a commercial site, it is the offical site set up in accordance with the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act). It is free, unlike commercial sites like freecreditreport.com, etc.

Don't be fooled by commercial sites with misleading names that make them sound like the official, free credit report.

http://www.annualcreditreport.com is the site offered by the gov't which allows you to get a free credit report from each of the bureaus each 12 months.

each year you are entitile to a free credit report from experian, trans union and equifax. they have it where you can view it free online no credit card is necessary.
