I think it would be good to have a separate category for each one but also one general section so that we could all meet up and get our fill of the "convert of burn in hell" or the "if god exists why?" questions and then go back to our own sections and move on. That way everyone would be happy and we'd all have our own place to discuss stuff with out getting preached at by another religion, but we could also go and give a good preaching or whatever on the other.

Not quite.
"Anti-Christian"
"Anti-Islamic"
"Anti-Paganism"
Then we secretly spread the word and go discuss some real issues somewhere else.
I'm joking, of course. An open dialogue is what makes us strong as a nation here in the United States of America. Freedom of speech keeps us learning. Freedom of expression keeps us growing. Equality keeps us able to see eye to eye and maybe learning something.
We just need to let the trolls respond to the trolls and learn to skim for the good stuff.
Keep speaking up, everyone.

Really all that we need is a separate place for Christians to troll. There could be a "playpen" for all the "Does anyone else love Jesus? I do!!!" posts, with a moderator to remove all of the "atheists just want to avoid being held responsible" trolls.
Suppose they just had a "Christians insulting Atheists" area and a "Christians insulting Muslims" area, and a "Biblical Contradictions" area and a "Praise (choose your deity)" area?

I think the athiests and agnostics would still harass the Christians, and vice versa. I think the Islams and Pagans would pretty much keep to themselves.

What is the point of having a discussion if we are all preaching to our own choirs? religious beliefs are usually such that you may not change any opinions but if all Christians, Jews, Muslims, etc, etc, stayed in their own "group", there would never be a chance of anyone converting or at least accepting another paradigm.

I agree with you my dear, but people seem to like to invade other peoples beliefs by telling them how stupid they are to believe the way they do...did you follow that? What I'm trying to say is that some people just can't respect another persons belief system and therefore for some reason they feel it necessary to inflict insults upon that person (or people) for their beliefs. So they take the time to search out controversal "sections" and have at it.

Even if it was, many will go to the sight of their opposite belief just to get an argument.
I also don't think this site will ever change any ones personal beliefs.

We'd have no real exchange of info, no real way to learn from others without bouncing all over the board. It needs to stay as it is.
