Don't over-eat the day before.

Stay as active as possible. (You're likely to feel very tired as the day moves along.)

When you break your fast, do it slowly. Your body will be a little unused to food after going without it for so long.

If you begin to shake or feel your heart pumping, have some Gator-ade or something similar. Your electrolytes are going out of kilter, and you could be facing a medical emergency.

30 hour famine? never heard of it.. a 30 hour fast or something?

on Yom Kippur, when possible, jewish people do a 24-ish hour fast on a yearly basis. no food no water, when possible and medically safe. (healthy adults can medically, do this safely.)

if you can have water... don't have too much. if not... well, heh, obviously...

the biggest "trick" I can think of is running your hands under cool water. for some psychological reason its refreshing.

and as said, don't pig out too much. the last meal before fasting being something hefty that will be slower to digest will make it easier.

its really not as bad as some people make it out to be.

Isn't there enough famine in the world already without you adding to it? Or do you mean a fast? In which case, you need to pray, because Jesus taught that man cannot live by bread alone.

I haven't heard about it. What a great idea. You definitely will have to stay hydrated. I think fruit juices would also be okay. And take it easy. I think you definitely need to avoid strenuous activity so that your blood pressure doesn't drop too low. I have problems with that and can faint easily. That's why hydration is so important.

Well, I checked it out. Here is their website:http://www.30hourfamine.org/

Try not to eat anything. It will mean a lot to those who have been starving for years to know that someone went without food for over a day just for them.

I see where doing that would make a point about hunger, but will it actually do anything constructive to fight hunger? Sorry, I don't really have any tips, but I wish you the best.
